    IMHO,

the magandang tunog will lose its appeal over time. quite frankly, am tired of hearing the loud exhaust of my mazda. plus, this'll make you a *target* for impromptu street races.

although am now contemplating on getting a JASMA spec muffler (with a bigger body) to reduce the noise. the HP gains are there but without the noise.

If you enjoy the sound and don't mind the noise, go for it.

Minsan lang maiirita ang mga kasakay mo lalo na for long trips, e.g. 2-3 hours.

Try the ones that are not so loud at low RPMs, just a deep bass, and makes noise only above 3K rpm...

    ownertype,

JASMA is not a brand, it's a standard... it's an organization in japan similar to CARB in the USA. JAMSA stands for Japan Automobile Sports Muffler Association. examples of JASMA spec mufflers are tanabe, blitz, 5zigen, fujitsubo and marami pang iba. i think prices range from as low as 6k (muffler only) to around 25k (full exhaust systems).

    Mga how much kaya?

Dont get the small freeflow mufflers that you commonly see around muffler shops. Reason is the noise coming from the muffler will be loud and irritating when on long drives around the city.

Better is to get the big body sized free flow mufflers. At least these will give a quieter sound when at low to medium rpm range and you will still get that freeflow performance you are after.

nothing beats a growling engine and a quiet muffler.

go with jasma or chambered muffs. they will tend to be quiet when idling and then open up when you floor it. you will sacrifice some peak hp pero at the expense of a much more comfy drive.

    goodluck!
