Hi fellow tsikoteers! i hope everybody is in good shape upon reading this

To: Good Mods, hindi lang po ako sure kung nasa tamang section itong thread ko, paki move na lang po. Thank you!

When i drove test the vehicle ok, for me, ang takbo nya...compare sa 2-escapes-same model & 1-mazda tribute-'06 or '05 (hindi ko na matandaan ).

    NORTH AMERICAN AUTOMOTIVE:
Fan Module - P9,450 (orig ford brand daw)
Tensioner Bearing - P9,895 (orig ford brand daw)
    Labor - P2,016
(Total cost of parts - P24,865)

Ok na po ba yang price? baka po meron kayo negative or possitive feedback about the mentioned casa, i will really appreciate it very much.

I've read somewhere here at tsikot na ok sa mazford so nag-check din ako sa kanila. Below are the prices.

    MAZFORD:
Fan Module - P7,500 (orig ford parts daw)
    Engine Support#2 - P1,800 (orig parts daw - motocraft)
Labor - P1,500 for Tensioner Bearing & Engine Support#2 pwede pa makatawad pag nandun na, pero hiwalay labor for fan module. Estimate for Fan module labor aroung P1,000++.
(Total price of parts only - P12,800)

Ok lang po ako kahit saan as long as ok ang reputasyon and kredibilidad nung casa na gagawa.

Hope you could help me with this.

    Maraming salamat po in advance!

Why do you need a new fan module and tensioner bearing? Any problems?

    Isedelco = AC Delco?

Hi Sir vinj, many thanks for your reply.

From the last pms of the vehicle at NAA, they are recommending to have it replaced. What i noticed naman is when i start the engine at #1, may umaandar na kaagad na fan...so i think that's the reason. I also checked it with the casa, yun nga daw po ang dahilan kaya dapat na palitan kasi baka daw madamay pa yung auxiliary fan. About the Tensioner, though im not sure if its related, meron akong naririnig na somelike metal to metal grinding when accelerating coming from stop or slow moving. As per the casa, that's also their reason of their recommendation.

I think you're right with the brand's name. It's AC Delco...sabi kasi ng nakausap ko "isidilcu"

Ano po sa tingin nyo, sir?

    Thank you po.

Actually wala akong kilala talaga.

Ford shop brand is really Motocraft, so what you're getting is good enough.

I swear by Mazford, that's where the Fordclub guys (and everyone else in the city) buy their parts.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

Hi Sir niky, thank you very much for your reply. So its okay to bring my Escape to MAZFORD po ba? what i only want is to be sure that the shop who'll handle the replacement have the know how. Thank you po.

Hi Sir crazy_boy, many thanks again for your reply. Aside sa ATF, all mentioned fluids naman po were replaced last Dec.26 pms' record sa nabanggit kong casa.

I will still consider your suggestion, sir.

As Niky mentioned, Mazford is tried and tested; we also used to get our Escape and Everest consumables from them.

On the aux fan, did you try checking other Escapes if the fan opens up the same way?

On the tensioner, try to get a second opinion as well; it's not "tope" or detonation naman? My experience with busted tensioners before was more of a high pitch screeching sound as a result of the belts sliding. If it's the timing chain tensioner that has to be replaced then the metal sound would also be consistent during start-up of the engine, until the oil circulates. Bottomline, it wont hurt to get a second opinion with another shop before you buy the parts and go ahead with the needed repairs.

If the ATF hasnt been replaced, time to do so as well; the Escape requires an ATF change every 25,000kms per the owner's manual if i recall correctly.

Yup. Mazford is okay. Subok na yan sila. ;)

What can you expect, FORD CASA pinuntahan mo. 2x, 3x etc. talaga patong diyan. Well, sa kahit anong CASA naman eh. :hysterical:

*Bin Diesel - noted sir and thank you po ulit sa reply. from the pms last Dec26, 2011, recommended for replacement na though pwede pa naman daw, kwento nung previous owner. While sa Ford EDSA (i think) Talagang palitin na daw. Pero nung tumawag ako last week sa Nort Amercian Automotive, dapat na daw palitan since 3 months na nakakaraan yung recommendation nila.

*vinj - Noted your message sir regarding MAZFORD and thanks again. At the moment, i haven't asked anybody who owns an Escape, if possible, of the same year about the aux fan. I will try to ask some tsikoteers here who owns an Escape About the tensioner, to be honest, i have no idea what a tensioner looks like aside sa mga pictures from the internet which i've had browsed. And, i don't know where the tensioner is located (check ko din sa internet). How would i know if its "tope"? If should i base if the tensioner busted by the sound, wala naman po ako naririnig na high pitched sound. Noted din po sa ATF.

*renzo_d10 - Maraming salamat sir sa reply. I will consider your suggestions po. Pwede po ba kaya magpa-check up muna sa MAZFORD? (yun po kasi pinakamalapit sa'kin from bacoor, cavite) Hindi naman po siguro nila ako iisahan dun kung makikilala nila ako na ako yung nag inquire for parts replacement and sabihin lang nila na "palitin na talaga" :D

Update lang po, i went to MAZFORD earlier to have the parts be replaced. Sinabi ko na recommended ng casa to replace the fan Module, Tensioner Bearing & Engine Support#2. Sabi nung nag assist sa'kin, kung lumalamig daw aircon ko, as in walang pagbabago sa lamig, definitely walang sira or hindi dapat palitan ang Fan Module. So that saves me P7000 (price nila yan, while sa casa is P9,450). We ended up replacing the tensioner bearing, drive belt & engine support. Total cost= P7,800.00

Upon ignition, ramdam ko kagad yung mas naging tahimik yung engine. Mas naging responsive yung acceleration every step sa silinyador. During stops, na-lessen yung tunog and vibration.

    Thanks again, tsikoteers!
