tanong lang guys...ano mas malakas sa gas 1.6L AT cars circa 90s (Sentra S3, Rolla GLi bigbody, lancer itlog/pizza) or 2.0L MT cars in mid90s (7g galant, 94 Accords, Corona)?

That's a very very good question.... in traffic, it'd probably be a tie. I've never seen better than 7-8 km/l in traffic in my 626... maybe 6-7 if I'm unlucky and traffic is heavy, but consumption was almost as bad in our AT 00' Exalta STA (which had the same engine as the 90's Sentras, just with VTC, which only came on that one).Originally Posted by basti08
On the highway, given a light foot, the 1.6 AT should consume less. That's should, not will... there are some ATs out there that really don't work well with 1.6 liter engines (Mazda/Ford is one good example, I think..., Chevrolet is an even better one... :evillaugh )
Ang pagbalik ng comeback...
My Sentra 2005 GX average 10 km/L on mixed city/hiway driving....
My driving styles:
- shift gear agad pagdating sa 2k rpm
- i do rest my right foot often, meaning di ganun kabigat apak ko sa gas, papitik-pitik lang
- i always calculate when its time to brake like when i see intersection or red lights, bitaw sa gas, shift to neutral then free wheeling.
- whenever i start/turnoff the engine, am don't rev heavily.

what do you think?

vhenok- Pa update lang kung nag improve na mileage mo bro. * 9,700 mileage wife's gx A/T did 9.6 km/li on a recent trip (manila-zambales-pampanga)....looks good na, but it would be better if I can push it to 12 km. / liOriginally Posted by vhenok

I wanted to change my engine to mazda r2 diesel kasi matipid daw, but I dont know where to get one, some says in pasay but i dont where exactly is the warehouse or store. Will someday give me the address from my friends in the tsikot thanks.
Gas consumption ko for my Nissan Sentra GS/AT (1600 Engine inline 4) 2005 model is 12 kilometer per liter on highway driving (Spped is 80 to 90 km/h only). Iniiwasan ko hanggat maari lumagpas ng 2000 RPM. Sa city driving with a very lite foot sa accelerator is 8 to 9 kilometers per liter.
Sira budgeting nio nian sa idle speed tapos nakahinto sasakyan then aircon.![]()

I have Corolla 1.3 95 model.. on City around 7km/liter.. on SLEX around 12km/liter.. if you really want to tipid.. pag newly change oil and new plugs, clean air filters.. ang layo ng mararating ng per liter mo..
For my 1.3 L, Corolla XE, 96 model, moderate aircon;
Lipa - Quezon City (always below 3000 rpm) (sundays): 12-13 km/liter
Ortigas - Quezon City (always below 2000 rpm) (weekdays): 7 - 9 km/liter
1.6 gli bigbody 97 corolla - 9-10 km/l city (12-14km/l)
nasa maintenance at alaga mo lang yan
