    a 1.6 should get 7-8km/L city and 13-15km/L highway.

the altis 1.6 vvt-i got 26km/L in the DoE tests but that was Fort Boni - Batangas (Star Toll) and vice versa, siguro walang aircon yun and nakataas bintana.

yung 1.3 siguro halos ganun din (or maybe up to 10km/L city) kasi you're still hauling around a heavy car chassis kahit mas maliit makina.

are you interested in carb 1.3 an 1.6? or efi 1.3 and efi 1.6?

well, i'm now getting 10km/L on my 1.3 LEC, used to get 8.5km/L on a 1.6 323, both carb. i don't know how much on highway driving.

Mine is better. I also drive a Nissan Sentra Exalta 1.6 L. STA Yr 2000 model & on the average i'm getting 9.5 kms. per liter of unleaded gasoline combined Alabang-Las Pinas traffic & SLEX. For an automatic transmission user, driving habits shall definitely improve fuel consumption.

Depends on the model. Brand new Corolla 1.6 and Civic 1.7 matics' drink very little gas.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

What kind of mileage are you expecting? 7-9km/L is good enough already.

If you really want good mileage, you might want to consider getting a supermini like the Picanto or Getz.

my 1.3 gulps 1 liter for every 12Kms mixed hiway and city driving. on hiways it can go as much as 14Kms/liter. the worse i got is 9kms/liter due to improper idling level set by an idiot mechanic!!!!

From our experience, matipid ang 1300. Some of our experience all with mixed city and highway:

    1300s:

    02 Corolla XL M/T 11.2km/li (hataw driving)

    1600s:

    05 Civic VTIS A/T 8.3km/li (hataw)
    01 Corolla GLI-Altis A/T 9.3km/li (hataw)
    01 Lancer MX A/T 7.8km/li (hataw)
    93 Civic ESI A/T 8.9km/li (moderate)

    Good luck in your decision.

if you're worried to high gas consumption go for brand new 1300cc and drive conservatively. i'm sure laki matitipid mo.

I have a 1990 mitsu lancer 1300 EL (4g13), it gives me around 7-8 km/liter city and 10-12 km/liter highway driving. Depende pa din sa driving style ito eh.

are these ratings based on driving with the aircon on?
