kailangan ba talaga ang rustproofing sa bawat car?

hi tsikot peeps! kailangan ba talaga ito sa bagong kotse o ndi? meron ba sa into na matagal na yung car and ndi pa nag papa rustproofing eversince and ok pa rin yung car...?

sir, kailangan po ang rustproofing, para naman di sayang ang sasakyan...lalu na ngayon lagi na bumabaha.

pero if you live in the CAMANAVA area, required po kayo... hehehe
kami, since we live in Malabon, twice in a year namin pinapabugahan ng Gear oil yung buong pang-ilalim... as in lahat!

Yep. Undercoating is what the name implies. Coating the underside of the vehicle.

Rustproofing involves drilling holes and forcing the anti rust agent into the hollow cavities of the car (inside the doors, quarter panels, etc.).

imho, yes you need it if you really love your car. you may not know it but rusts may start to appear at the bottom of your car and every tight corners. its more cheaper and more wise to have it maintained regularly, instead of doing a more expensive body repair job.

If you plan to keep your vehicle longer than the rustproof warranty of your manufacturer then the answer is YES. It does prevent rust formation as an example in our rust-free 10 year old Feroza. Basta have an annual rustproof check or as recommended by the rust-proofing manufacturer.

If you plan to sell your vehicle before the said warranty expires then it's a NO. Sayang lang pera mo. ;)

napansin ko kasi sa car for example vios 643k for manual...separate pa yung 4,500k for rustproof, 3k for lto, and 35k for the insurance....
question is kun sineparate nila yung rustproof sa actual price ng vios ...meron ba silang nilagay na rustproof sa car or wala?

Those products are not really rustproofing your vehicle. What it does is retard the rusting process. Kahit na rustproofed ang buong sasakyan, there is still some point that the rust could start. By adding a rust retarder unit only delays the rust growth.

Just like my previous post, it could help you by preventing rust forming too soon to be noticed. The arguement now is whether you need it or do you want it. If you are planning to keep your car in the long run better have it for safety reasons. But if you are planning to depart from your current vehicle after a couple of years more, save your money. :D

Rust proofing is effective after a year only, after that you will need to re-apply another coating.

yung mga part na intact pa papatungan lang sir boybi yung parts na hindi dapat I-scrape…

I agree with happy_Gilmore, di naman kailangan agad as most cars have factory rustproofing for the underside and door panels (yung Toyota ko wala sa loob ng door noon)…

madalas sa casa is aftermarket rustproofing na – undercoating…kung papatungan pa nila yung factory rustproofing sa body(door panesl, trunk lid, etc) eh mas maganda for the price of 4.5k pero kung undercoating lang iyon eh punta ka na lang sa amin

based on experience, yung mga bagong sasakyan na na-undercoat namin ay walang protection yung mga parts beyond the fender liner…be sure na malagyan iyong mga parts na iyon in case magpapa-rustproof ka sa labas…

May factory rustproofing naman ang sasakyan talaga. I don't know why dealers are pushing for additional rustproofing. Baka may commission.

May nabasa ako dati na improper application of rustproofing agents can result in even higher risk of rust.

Yung MB100 at Montero namin sure na walang aftermarket rustproof iyon. Pero ok pa din hanggang ngayon. I think wala ding rustproof iba naming sasakyan. Itong Pajero meron kasi nerbyoso dating may ari. Panay ang pa-casa and allergic sa replacement parts. hehehe.
