alin po sulit gamitin na oil? malapit napo kasi ako mag pa oil change.. and... i am using... mineral oil from agip ryt now(kasi mura)... hehehe... i heard mas makakatipid ako sa gas and... mas less friction for the engine if i use synthetic... which synthetic should i use? any idea on the prices? anong viscosity po dapat? for a regular fuel injected 1.6 engine po? btw... y po pala top1 mura compared to other synthetics? i tried mobile one na kasi noon... i duno kung sa isip ko lang.. but i felt mas powerful mas swabe and mas matipid ako sa gas...
any advice will be apreciated po... magpapachangeoil tuneup na kasi ako next week sa plugs? antayin ko paba masira? lagpas na kasi sa km na dapat but.. buo pa eh.. hehe... tnx po
btw... saan po kaya mabibili mura mobile1? or any products ur suggesting? every centavo counts po sakin eh.. since student lang po ako hehehe
I'd go with Mobil 1 (synthetic) over Havoline Synthetic and Havoline Energy... both are API SJ/SL rated i think.
Take note though, even if you're using synth oil in your ride, you have to service it every 5,000km. Its still suggested to change the oil every 5K given our harsh road conditions but some can settle for changing at 10k with synth but change the oil filter at the 5K mark.
On the plugs, if you're not using platinum ones, change it every 20,000km and clean/inspect every 5000km.
AutoXer, is the Liqui Moly synth or mineral based?
Meron akong nakikitang Mobil 1 15w40 with supersyn, race formula daw to. Is this good?? Can I use a race formula oil if I don't really race. The grade is the only one that fits me actually.
75T kms na so medyo thicker oil na and factory recommended naman talaga sa accord is 15w40 or 20w50.
....masama ba yung biglang palit ng viscosity ng langis? kasi alagang mobil1 oto ko eh tapos yung huling change oil ko nag havoline energy ako (medyo budgetting ako eh).
...engine is a 7yr old 7AFE with around 28k++ miles on it (so mga 44k++km yun).
AC,
Top1 is only a synth blend, not a full synth oil. Try buying Mobil 1 from autosport along 20th ave in cubao, cheaper than most.
icon,
Could it have been mobil 1- 15w50? Have not heard of a 15w40 grade in mobil1. You can use the 15w50, specially for high rev or turbo engines. This is what i'm using in a miata since they run hotter than usual.
scarab,
what viscosity are you using now- 5w30? Is the havoline energy a full synth oil? A 5w30 oil may be thin if not a full synth.
What viscosity
wow sir icon... 390?? thats synthetic na? ok pala bumili sa cash and carry ah... nagtanong kasi ako sa banawe its... 1700 per gallon eh... and a gallon is less than 4 liters...
btw sir jackaroo... alam nyo po kung magkano mobil 1 sa auto sport? per liter or a galon? tnx po
opo 390 lang, supersyn. bought na and had a change oil. mukhang naging mas tahimik yung makina.
pafull tank na din to check mileage kung mag-improve.
available dun 15w50 and 0w40. didnt really ask how much yung 0w40. 2 or 3 shops nagbebenta ng mobil 1.
Meron din quaker state which i heard is also good.
AC
Think the price of mobil 1 in autosport is also about P1700 per gallon. The price of icon is cheap- supersyn pa! The latest version of mobil 1 should have "supersyn" on the label. The local dealers are only getting their stock of supersyn this month.

Thanks for info on mobil 1 price. Where are the shops selling them inside cash & carry? Does it come in "Quart" packs instead of liter and made in the US?
im currently using Mobil1 SuperSyn 15W-50 on my xwind. Mukha ngang gumanda tunog ng engine at magaan ang pedal. Mura na nga yun sa Cash and Carry. Got mine for 450/L. Rats!!!

they only have them in 1 liter bottles i think.
it's at the building opposite the main cash&carry store, where they sell the PX stuff. near the men's room :p
am currently using Havoline Enery Synthetic for my Rav4 and 323... only P1100 per gallon * chieffy's gasoline station...
IMHO, if you vehicle specs doesn't require you to use Synthetic, don't! I just read in our forums that the Mazda 323 has only been tested for Mineral based oils only, and not synthetic. This might go the same with your vehicles... basically, synthetic oil is an overkill. But if you have the dough, why not?
wow... kailangan ko na pumunta cash and carry hehee... sayang noh.. nasunong na yung lumang cash and carry... use to go there for shoes and toys nung bata pako... lagi ako umiiyak sa
