    pipol,

tapos if ever na mag replace ako, can you recommend a good brand. my ride is a 97VTI... and lastly, advisable pa isang gulong lang ang pareplace ng bearing if ever sira na nga?

    txs mga peeps.....

Are you definitely sure it's coming from the bearing and not the tire itself?

Try to swap front-rear tires first and monitor its condition. If sound still persists, front end bearings can easily be repacked with grease. But for longer run and less down time, I would suggest that a change is inevitable.

    txs master ungas,

i'm not really sure if its the bearing! but this same thing happnd kasi sa gli ng officemate ko, first mahina lang ugong then lumala topos ng pacheck nya, durog na daw bearing nya!

but i'll try to swap my tires and see what happens.... e kung sa gulong ang sira, ano kaya possibling tama nito? hindi balanse yung gulong ko? kasi bago pa naman yung tires ko! mag wa-one year palang... anu kaya?

I've read some responses from other threads that tires are sometimes the culprit for the humming sound, especially Goodyear brand with a specific model.

Maybe the noise was there and you weren't paying that much attention or the stereo playback was keeping your hearing senses busy. Until an officemate pointed out some noise from his wheel that made you checked your car.

mine naman sa accord may parang hum din. pansin ko parang pag nagnakaneutral and then nakabrake lang meron. pag neutral free wheelin parang wala. already had the left wheel bearing replaced kay chieffy. medyo meron pa din.

The noise sound becomes louder as the tires wear out.

It's the tread of Goodyear that's causing it to make unwanted noise. No other way out but to change tires.

Unbalanced front tires will cause your steering to vibrate at 80km/h, while unbalanced rear tires can lead to excessive vibrations from the rear portion. :D

try the tire swap first. naging problem ko rin yan but mine is bridgestone. My guess at first is the wheel bearing kasi lagi ako nababaha before kala ko kinalawang na. I brought it to a shell station para ipa-repack. Sabi daw hindi pwede irepack yung lancer pizza kasi close type daw atsaka hindi nila kaya palitan yung bearing kasi they dont have the equipment. Then I brought it to servitek. They found out na hindi pantay yung thread wear sa left front tire ko. So pinalit nila yung spare tire ko ayun nawala totally yung ugong.

At baka i-deliver pa.

The vehicle in question is a 2002 Kia Sedona. I just had all 4 tires replaced from Dunlop LeMans RV to Dunlop EC 201 about two months ago, and I noticed that the ugong first manifested itself sometime AFTER the tire change. Also, the ugong gets louder when I am turning in a curve, whether to the right or left. Since the ugong manifested itself during the summer months, I have doubts if it was a case of my wheels getting recently submerged in flood waters.

Thanks

to check if your car has a wheel bearing problem...

jack your car up and shake your wheel towards you. kung medyo may parang alog or gap, baka nga bearing yun.
