hello... have anyone here tried motul for their 4jx1 engine? pwede ba yun 15w40 oil?
any brand will do as long as the viscosity is correct (5w30 yata). 15w40 is for the older engine(4jg2).
k tnx... btw to all......what is the fuel consumption of your troopers? i've been averaging 6 to 6.5 km per liter only... is it normal? is it time for a change oil?
hey my trooper is also doing 6 to 6.5 km per liter city driving and 7.5 highway. i feel its abit thirsty nga eh. any comments? could something be wrong? i change oil every 5thou km.
Marvin,
I have the 4jg2 engine and I'm doing 7.5 city driving and 12 highway. Have your ride checked by Isuzu, or it may be your driving style.
i don't think motul makes oil in 5w30. their diesel oil is a bit thicker.
marvin. djerms: i upgraded my stock tires to wider and taller 16 inches, do you think this could be a factor for the high fuel consumption? regular din naman ang service ng ride ko sa isuzu pasig. almost same mileage din pala i thought na sobrang far out consumption ko.
i wonder now kung totoo yun dating sabi nila na 20-30 km/ liter ang trooper? di ata yun possible eh!
speedyfix: was in your shop having my rav lowered the other day, wala ka dun that time. =)
Heto link: http://www.isuzuautodealer.com.ph/Originally Posted by Djerms
Sir, sa 50K ganito ginagawa nila: http://www.isuzuautodealer.com.ph/se...bs/ubs_50k.htm sa 60k pareho sa 10k PMS: http://www.isuzuautodealer.com.ph/se...bs/ubs_10k.htmOriginally Posted by papao
Sir, 19km/l ang 4Jx1 Trooper. One passenger, aircon is off, speed at 60kph. In other words, the rated fuel consumption is done under ideal condition. But for your engine you can easily achieve 11km/l, one passenger, aircon on EDSA driving provided you do a gradual acceleration i.e. engine rev at 1,500 to 2,000. Anticipate the movement of vehicle in front to avoid frequent braking. Yes, your driving style, load, size and tread of your tire affects fuel consumption.Originally Posted by k.o
wow that is an amazing figure (11km/l). how i wish my trooper had that kind of mileage.Originally Posted by horexen
