    Any tips po papano ma identify car na nalubog sa baha?

    1. rusting on the tail pipe tip
    2. musty odor in cab
    3. wet socks smell on the carpet
    4. staining on the headliner
    5. rusting on seat steel frame
    6. white powdery corrosion on aluminum components of the engine
    7. rusting on strut mount bolts
    8. sticking seat belt retractors
    9. water inside headlight, tail light and other light lens assemblies
    10. fluids contamination, i.e., a/transmission fluid turning pink, gear oil turning like milkshake
    11. inoperative horn or irregular sound from it
    12. charging system malfunction
    13. starting system sluggishness
    14. electrical ghost problems
    15. water stains on car documents
    16. debris on radiator fins and evaporator fins, etc. etc.

    if the plate number starts with "Z", 1st registered in the years 2007-2009 then you may want to investigate further.

    lahat ng sinabi ni jc above those are all signs of a newly flooded vehicle. 3 years after ondoy i doubt it if you will still see those signs. especially if you are going to buy from a 2nd hand dealer those things would have been taken cared of already. i only see 1 thing that is still a possibility, and that is item 5, rusting on seat frame (and other steel parts under the dashboard).

    napanood ko kahapon sa tv: check mo daw yung screw sa may door jamb. kung may kalawang most probably binaha.

    * - not necessarily.... can be caused by others.

    The easiest way to tell is to poke under the dashboard and in hard to reach spots and look for signs of mud and sediment. There are areas where it's almost impossible to remove mud.

    Unfortunately, if it was a clear-water flood, then it'll be harder to tell.
