    From the CRV owner's manual:

"To close the bonnet,... Lower the bonnet to about 30 cm (a foot) above the fender, then let it drop.

drop from a considerable and non-damaging height. you could feel whether the drop was excessive or not.

heheheh...ako parehas kong ginagawa...depende sa trip ko...pero madalas method 2, naka state ito sa manual...pero pag gabi ako lumalabas, i use method 1...para tahimik (nakakagising kasi sa kapitbahay)...pero, i take caution pag ginagawa ko yung #1 by applying pressure kung asan yung contours nung hood (yung parang umbok sa both sides [left and right], sana maintindihan mo kung anu yung umbok! heheh)...i do this to avoid accindental denting since yun yung strongest part ng hood. so far, wala naman dents yung hood ko.

Method #1 can be also be used if the hood has area that can pressed without denting it (chrome trim, or emblem- ie. EG Civics).

i drop it as well from about 4-6 inches. the hood's weight will help it close when dropped. :D

method 1 is usually applicable for CF hoods

sa mga kaha ngayon, drop it from a considerable and non-damaging height. you could feel whether the drop was excessive or not. pero sa mga older models (79 below) kahit tapakan pwede

I always drop the hood. Since I can be conscious of the neighbors at night, I only open the hood during the daytime, para kahit maingay and pagsara, ok lang.
