    Am confused...

Is the 1st gear of your tranny the highest or lowest gear?

AFAIK, it is has the highest gear ratio, so it is the "highest gear". While the 4/5/6/7 gears are the "lowest gear" since they have the lowest gear ratio.

    Thanks,

    low gear = 1st gear
since "1st" gear is lower than "2nd"
1 is less or lower than 2

now about the gear ratio that's techincal term.

low gear for me is 1st gear at high gear ang 5th

kasi po sa max speed... i mean it would be confusing diba if sabihin na switch to lower gear to attain higher speed

mas maganda pakinggan ang higher gear higher speed

In layman's terms, 1st gear is the lowest gear... but technically, it's the highest ratio... 4th or 5th gear are the highest gears, but the lowest ratio... usually at 1:1 or close to it.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

Teka teka... ako'y nalito rin bago ako magpost.

To clear things, gears that have higher numerical order are infact the lower gears. Always use the gears numbers with rational aspect 1:4.625, 1:4.11, 1:6.25 etc... so the higher the number or closer ratio to 1 are the low gears. Succeeding higher gears should have lower numerical ratio.

L1 stands for low gear 1st. L2 stands for low gear 2nd.

    sa technical ata:

    1st gear=high gear
    5th gear=lowgear

the more higher ung gear d more mababa ang topspeed, d more lower yung gear ratio mataas topspeed

    parang ganito

    1stgear 2.842:1
    5thgear 0.712:1...>>hehe

    Basic rule:
    1. Higher numerical number is lower gear. Raises your rpm at a certain speed. Sample: 1st gear = 4.556; 2nd gear = 2.625

    2. Lower numerical number is higher gear. Lowers engine rpm on high gear or top gear. Sample: 4th gear = 1.000; 5th gear = 0.836

You will also have to consider your final gear ratio, either for top speed lower numerical number, vice versa.

High or Low Gear
