I'm going to have the underchassis repaired. Here is the quotation for parts. Though it's still not certain whether all the parts on the list will be used, the parts store still listed them down 'just in case'.

    Upper balljoint 650x2
    Lower balljoint 850x2
    Pitman arm 1200x1
    Idler arm 1350x1
    Tie rod 450x2
Shocks (KYB Gas non-adjustable in case the adjustable ones are shot already) 1100x4

I'm pretty sure they are but I just want confirmation. Wala kasi yung unit dito ngayon.
How much do I expect to pay in labor (shadetree mechanic)?
How much does it cost to realign afterwards?

    Salamat po

Try to ask ZEE at Aurora Blvd. Was supposed to have my shocks refilled there but ok pa at the time so those parts you listed lang talaga ginawa. Rey is there Paj expert. He's their all-around "consultant."

Btw, for sure palit ka bushings din nyan.

Oteps, there are four tie rods to a Pajero I think most suspension parts are the same for the 2 and 2.5. Pansin ko lang na iba is the stab bar and stab bar links.

Make sure you go to a friendly mechanic para one-time-take-all ang price kasi kung sa regular mechanic/casa, per part ang singil ng labor.

Good as new na yan pagkatapos.

BTW, naka Gen2.5 ka na pala! Congrats!

It's the office vehicle and it would be better to have any faulty parts replaced as opposed to 'repaired'.

I also do not want to subject the stock adjustable shocks to disassembly if it will lose adjustability anyway. If the shocks are found faulty, I will just take them home in a box.

My '96 daily driver has had no bushings replaced since we got it. Wala naman problema sa suspension (except for the rear sway bar bushings). Anong bushings ba iyang 'sure' na papalitan? Thanks. The FM is a 2001 model if I'm not mistaken.

    PK,

Magkaiba kasi yung mechanic at yung parts store.

Btw, kay Mang Dick (yung in-house ni GlennSter) ko sana ipapagawa once the budget is approved. I guess he's friendly enough. hehe.

Ayus! Eh kung iisipin mo, kelangan mo naman tanggalin yung tie rods to get to the arms?! (And so on)

As if naman ikakabit nila uli yung tie rods before nila babaklasin yung pitman/idler.

I'll go through the same process within the year din siguro.

    Oh well....

    Sir banaweonline,

Three Five (555) po ang gamit ko. I don't use Dreco for the underchassis bits. Medyo takot ako dun.

Mas mahal ang parts sa Motorcraft. Ganun naman ata talaga kung sa talyer ka bibili instead of the parts store. Convenience kasi.
