thanks po in advance.

December 12th, 2012 01:44 PM #7sir firefish,
suggestion ko is to do the easier and cheaper fix first. yung clutch slave cylinder costs around 450pesos and around 200pesos for labor. kapag sa clutch plate ka kasi agad nagpunta, mahina na ang almost 4000pesos on parts alone, plus another 1000pesos for labor po.
sir gtamp,
from your description its again best (cheaper) to fix/replace your clutch slave cylinder first. kaya humihirap ikambyo kapag matagal na nakaapak kasi may internal leak na ang one of the actuators (primary or secondary actuators... assuming hydraulically operated ang clutch system mo po).

changing to a larger slave cylinder may soften your clutch pedal but the stroke (distance) the slave piston travels is decreased which may affect clutch lining engagement (will not fully engage). stay stock. assuming no problem in the hydraulic circuit, check first if there are no binding in the mechanical linkages (pedal, throw out fork, etc). if all else fails, it's usually the pressure springs in the pressure plate assembly. nagpalit ka ba ng pressure plate before?
para klaro lang, matigas lang ba talaga ang clutch pedal pero gears will engage smoothly? kung may grinding sound, the hydraulic circuit is ingesting air preventing full travel of the pistons (assuming no transmission problems).
