    Hi everyne,
First of all, laking pasalamat ko that I've found a web-forum run by pinoys. I am wondering if anybody would be able to help me with my problem, an advise or directions to a website link on how to install a tint/film by yourself. I presently live in England, so far ang hingi nila dito ranges from 300 to 350 pounds, that's 30k to 35k pesos and i' not prepared to pay that amount of money - kasama na ang film sa presyo na yan.
Maraming salamat in advance sa tulong.....

I haven't applied a tint myself, but I have seen it done several times. The hardest part would be cutting the film to size, making sure to cut the top edge short by about 0.5" for when the glass goes into the channel at the top of the frame. After that make sure to clean the glass thoroughly. Use a lot of soapy water on both the interior side of the glass and the glass side of the film and apply the film to the glass. Next, use a squeegee to remove the excess water from between the glass and the film spraying the interior side of the film to allow the squeegee to slide.

Make sure na malinis yong glass. The film can move freely pag dinikit mo dahil basa ito, so medyo stretch mo yong film para mabawasan ang gusot. From the centre of the glass (window) hagudin mo ng dahan palabas para tanggalin yong moisture (soapy water) sa loob ng film. Pag nakakapit na ng ayos, i-trim ang edges about 3mm shorter than the window edge. Yong sa lower side naman ng window, trim it about 2 inches below the visible part of the window.

I know mas marami pang advice kang marereceive galing sa mga pro, pero my DIY was not bad at all considering first time ko lang ginawa 'to. Hope it helps.

Welcome to tsikot Trebliug. First of all, you need the tools. A squeegy, spray bottle, some soapy water (Joy/Water solution), some baby powder, razor sharp blade, some rags, credit card like w77 said. Now this info am giving you is based on what I observed when I had my tint installed.

    - You'll have to first precut the tint to the size and shape of the window but 1st apply a tint film baby powder on the window (outside part), this minimizes scratching when you cut the tint film.
    - After cutting the tint film down to size, clean the area thoroughly where your gonna install the tint. Remove the Apply a generous amount of soapy water and remove the transparent film on one side of the tint.
    - Gently position the tint on the window and use your squeegy to wring out excess bubbles and soapy water solution do this until there are no bubbles, use your credit card to wring out excess water and bubbles in hard to reach places like the edges of the windows and the weather stripping.
    - The key here is that no part of the tint should be sticking out or yung nakatuklap.
    - Lastly don't open your windows for at least 3 to 4 days to allow the adhesive to dry and bond with the window.

    HTH.
