hmm, please check your car's manual.

Generally, drive 2 is gear 2, meaning the engine is using gear one up to gear 2 only. Uses if you need engine brake especially in high angle uphill or downhill. Dont drive higher than 100Kph under this gear.

What vehicle are you referring to?

You can also use the 1st and 2nd gear to decrease wheelspin especially when getting out of deep snow or slippery mud. Too much wheelspin decreases traction in icy or muddy conditions.

Going to Baguio ok lang sa "drive" position i think. Gamitin mo lang yung gears 1, 2, 3 kung very steep talaga ang road and you have a very heavy load.

how about when going down a hill? advisable pa rin ba sa "D" lang? or sa "2" or "3"?

Choosing "D","1" or "2" still really depends on your load, the angle of descent or ascent and road conditions.

Kung medyo curvy naman ang daan like in baguio, ok pa rin naman sa "drive" position basta just let go of the gas pedal and give slight taps on the brakes para magdownshift ang engine when doing those scary turns.

I think pag nasa 2, based on honda autobox, naka stuck siya sa 2, as in mag start siya to roll from a stop position on gear 2.( that is to prevent wheelspin, kung slippery ang condiotion. e.g. icy, muddy.)

pag pababa kung gusto mo mag engine brake, either you switch o/d OFF, or kung may d3, use d3.

Yup, you can also switch the Overdrive off. In doing so, the transmission selects only the first 3 gears and keeps the transmission from cycling between 3rd and 4th gears in stop and go driving. This is based tho on the CRV book manual so it may be different in yours.
Believe it or not,the V manual also says you can do upshifting and downshifting through 1,2 and D like a manual transmission without a clutch pedal.
If you shift into first position when the vehicle speed is above 50kph the transmission shifts into 2nd gear first to avoid sudden engine braking. (this is still based on CRV book manual).
