Gas consumption problem

Good day,

Ano po ba ang best way para makatipid sa gas consumption? Currently, nasa 5 - 6 km/lit ang konsumo nya. BTW, the car is a corolla XL 97 (stock gli 1.6L engine).

Nasa adjustment kaya ng computer box??? di ko lang alam galawin yun kasi carb lang ang alam kong galawin eh.

BTW, san kaya maganda magpa-tune-up w/in mandaluyong area?

XL Corolla has no computer box since it's a carburetor system.

Basic stuff first, full tune-up, replace worn distributor caps, plugs, filters etc... Check tire pressure...

Might wanna search about maximizing fuel efficiency as well.

ilang average kilometers/liter ang tinatakbo ng EFI engine na 1.6?

bka xl with gli engine yung oto mo? if EFi sya, try mo i reset yung ECU.. ewan ko lang kng parehas sya sa honda pero ganito ang procedure..replace sparkplugs or cleaning, pati air cleaner palitan mo na rin and check fuel filter bka marumi na rin.. painitin mo muna yung engine tapos turn off then remove the ECU fuse for at least 1 min. then kabit mo ulit, start the engine pero wag mo tapakan ang gas para magsset yung ECU sa desired setting. hayaan mo lang nka idle for 1min or more then turn off. tapos start ulit, pwede na tapakan ang gas.. hope this works for you

yup. corolla XL with gli engine po. before it was 7-9 km/lit.
