Erratic Tachometer

Mga sirs,

Yung tachometer nung fx namin nagluluko, parang compass needle yung reading. sa simula ok reading pag rev mo (from 1,2,3..), then pag magshi-shift na gear eh naglilikot na yung needle to the point na mag-stuck na siya minsan sa maximum. Babalik ulit sa dati pagtagal-tagal.Ano kaya problem?Connection or the tach itself?

a ok, madali dali yan, look for your ignition coil. andun nakakabit yun mga wires na para dapat sa tach. mo. check mo kung may maluwag, o putol o damage na linya, chk mo rin baka ang coil mo ang may problem na rin.

ask ko lang, ang pagkakaalam ko ang tachometer sa may distributor ang connection. kase ang coil ang trabaho nya mag supply ng kuryente sa distributor para i-distribute sa spark plugs. hindi rin ako sure pero yung tachometer nakakabit sa coil? hmmmmm

Thanks sa advice, pina-check ko nga sa electrician, tama nga, check nya ignition coil, kaso no problems naman sa wires, so check nya mismo yung gauges mismo (detachable naman), ang diagnosis eh yung tach gauge na mismo may problem (pero speedo,gas and temp gauges are ok naman).Problem now is where to find yung gauge assembly na yun, yoko kasing magpunta banawe without knowing a specific store.

linisin mo na lang dahil kung ang unit mo na tacho ay may magnet,sigurado ang sulusyun ay linis lang.Saka kung may wire ang tacho mo, baka mali-it na ang length nang wire it is good kung ikaw ang gumawa para mag enjoy ka matoto pa!
