Pareho ba itong diagram? Or mali lang ang interpretations ng first diagram? And it should be looking like the one I made?
Diagram 1:
Hand-written diagram ko and also my interpretation of the above diagram.
mali ba ang paka-intindi ko sa diagram 1? Everything else is the same, ang pagkaka iba lang nila eh curved yung drawing ko sa NEW WIRE.
Also as an alternative, instead of having one 'quick-splice' attached to the orange wire, can I have two 'quick-splice' spliced into the orange wire? one from/for the relay and another from/for the foglight switch?
TIA

October 8th, 2003 07:11 AM #2Base dun sa drawing...mukhang tama, puede rin 2 splice, yun nga lang pangit maraming splices dun sa orange wire...masisira ang integrity ng wiring pag masyadong maraming splice tapos pangit ang pang cover mo dun sa inisplice mo (electrical tape looses its dikit sa katagalan or exposure to water). Minsan dun nagsisimula ang connection problems kasi in the future.
on other matter
Btw, what's the orange wire for? Na weirdohan kasi ako sa wiring diagram (my assumption is that you're installing a fog lamp switch, relay for the fog lamps and perhaps a pair of fog lamps). Para kasing mali...(but I could be wrong too)...unless iba yung relay mo....
IMO.... IF THE ORANGE WIRE is some sort of a 12v line (with low amp drive) from the fuse box, the splice connects to the foglight switch (green-red) and then the other end of the switch (yellow-blue in your diagram) will be connected to the other end of the relay (IF THE RELAY IS THE TYPICAL BOSCH which have this 4 prongs underneath) and not to the ground (as per diagram). Then dun pa lang papunta ng ground yung ka partner na probe ng relay. So bale hindi naka konek ang relay ng direct sa orange wire but rather via the switch. The remaining two other probes ng relay connects the direct link of the fog lights to the battery and the body ground.
Sana hindi ako nakagulo lalo.
just my 2 cents.

October 8th, 2003 10:52 PM #4the two diagrams and 'alternative' are electrically equivalent
and if this is "add-a-foglight" project, the broken green-red wire is kinda strange
ano itong project, karding?

syet, nalimot ko kung ano talaga ang gusto kong gawin. Here it is mga kapatid:
Yung foglight (OEM Installed) nagsisindi lang sya kung ON ang HEADLIGHT ko. Pero kung parking light, flash highbeam, highbeam lang, walang ilaw foglight ko. Ganito talaga dito, isa sa mga vehicle law is to have it that way.
Everything is pre-installed from the factory, yung spliced new wire lang ang hindi.
Thanks sa lahat!

arl0011 thanks pero nasolb na yung question ko the day after my inquiry.
ba't nawala yung follow-up report ko dito?!
eto yung follow-up ko the day after my inquiry:
Ran into one problem but corrected my own mistake:
I was using the wrong wire for ground. The wire coming from the actual foglight switch is the correct one instead of the wire going to the dashboard.
Orange wire worked but I needed to push it more to my 'quick-splice' since my 'quick-splice' size was 16-14 and the orange wire is 18.
NOW....
When you turn on the switch on top of the steering column, parking lights, flash to pass, highbeam...the foglights stays on. Foglight can still be turned off independently thru the master switch.
I think the author of the foglight mod in scoobymods needs to change the diagram. It seems like there should be a Y-wire, which was never mentioned in "tools/things needed" and confuses n00bs like myself.

labag nga sa batas, pero mas masama kung labag sa kalooban ko :hihihi: saka di naman ako pull-over basta hindi ako naka high beam sa street or freeway na nakakasilaw nga. ma-angas ang arayb kapag foggy and foglights lang ang naka-on. Kunan ko pic bukas ng morning...
