To my shock, my gas cap for my Suzuki APV was lost.

Went back to the station where I had my last fillup, but the guys there are clueless. Curses them all

Does a generic cap fill all rides? OEM caps ain't cheap.

    the clicking is normal.
the first click simply tells you that you have screwed it tightly enough.
the next clicks are telling you to stop it already.. (seriously, this clicking is actually a clever mechanism aimed at preventing you from over-tightening it..)

    heh heh.

you can buy a cheap "universal" replacement cap. there may be several sizes, so you maybe should bring your car to fit it..
however, there is a warning that the replacement cap should be only temporary, until you can get the original cap... (i personally do not heed this warning.)

    Dr.D, TipTipid,

Salamat sa payo. Pero hassle pa rin. Will scout the car shops over the weekend. I wanted to put a chain or string to the cap to avoid this. The price of complacency....

defective gas cap??
