for the ordinary person, chicken wire is used to fence in chickens and other small animals.

for the car aficionado, chicken wire refers to a particular front grille design that looks like ordinary chicken wire, from a distance.
but if one takes a close look, it actually looks much, much better than old macdonald's.

it is supposed to give the auto a more sporty look. daw.
