June 28th, 2005 02:09 AM #1hi,
i drive a honda city (cvt) model. I recently miscalculated and my right front wheel got stuck in some roadwork. I was able to get it out eventually but found deep scratches in the chassis near the wheel (under the axle, near the brakes).
question is, do i need to treat the scratched area with rustproofing? and if so, is there some rustproofing treatment i can buy at hardware/automative stores that i can apply myself? where can i buy it?
Thanks a lot for all your help!

Be thankful you didn't hurt the car's rocker panel.
