i would go for the shell blue, i've used it years back. i have some not so good experience with castrol.

but if i were you i would go for mobil semi-synth.

Sir, kaka pa change oil ko lang, i Used Shell Helix Blue. Pag drain, halos super color black na pala engine oil ko, hindi na ginamitan ng engine flush nang mekaniko, Ayos lang po kaya iyon na hindi na nya ginamitan engine flush ehh paglabas nung oil super itim???

^^ no need to use engine flush, it's a waste of money,

kung gusto mo talaga i-flush, instead of waiting for the 5000 kilometer change oil interval, palitan mo na pag hit ng 1000 palang or earlier, put in a new set of oil, then go back to the 5K kilometer interval.

i've been using the castrol magnatec for over a year now & so far i haven't had any of its infamous sludging issues. but the next time around i'm planning to use the eneos 10w-40 semi-synth blend. it's not very popular here but i've heard it has a very good rep abroad

Yung sa 5th Gen Accord ko din Magnatec. But when I had some things fixed over at Speedyfix last year, nung tinanggal yung valve cover, nakita namin na may varnish na. Don't know kung after-effect yun ng Magnatec, kasi 2nd hand ko nabili yung car.

But it works for me. Semi-synth na sya for less than 260/liter.

kung semi syn, depends kung saan mo pagagawa kung sa shell, free labor if you choose shell products or even dala mo from suking auto supply as long as it's shell. If DIY any of the two.

but IMO kung not strictly specified ang semi syn, I would prefer pure mineral based and change it at 4000 kms, more cleaner and much fresher ang engine mo everytime at a lesser cost.

varnishing? what exactly do you mean by this bro? iyon ba iyong staining sa inside ng engine shell (ewan ko kung tama term ko)?
