February 27th, 2005 11:06 AM #1Ano po signs ng blow by? kasi nag papalit ako ng spark plugs, nakita namin na meron langis sa spark plugs. Tapos may tagas ng langis malapit sa spark plugs, wala naman langis sa air filter at radiator.
Advise naman diyan kung ano dapat gawin? tnx.

pag basa ng langis yung plugs mo, di na yan makasunog na gasolina, kaya yun namamtayan ka, tope, ma eexperience mo. baka naman valve cover gasket tagas lang yan, kung ganun madali lang remedyo yan, 300 lang ata gastos

compression test dapat para ma-determine mo kung blow-by na.
but you can make preliminary checks by yourself without the compression tester. to check for possible blow-by without the use of a compression tester, open the oil filler cap (the cap on the valve cover where you fill oil). DAPAT COLD ENGINE HA, NOT HOT or you'll get burns on your hand. start the engine and then put your palm (yes, your BARE HAND) to cover the oil filler hole pressing down slightly to keep any air from escaping. if you feel that the pressure is a bit high* then that is a clear indication of blow-by. have someone step on the gas pedal and if the pressure goes up some more such that it can now pass through or even push your palm off the oil filler hole, sure sign of blow-by na yan.
*a bit high here means enough that you can't keep the pressure from escaping. a new engine will have zero or almost no pressure since crankcase pressure is suppose to be negative.
