what would the effect be if you have been driving for a long time on the road, tapos biglang uulan or dadaan ka sa water?

i mean, the tires are probably hot. and so is the break system/etc. tapos biglang change in temperature. hindi ba nakakaweaken ng structure yung sudden changes in temperature?

Most of the time the rotors are designed to withstand extreme changes in temperatures but I'm sure they're shielded well enough from the huge splashes. Of course it pays to slow down as this is the most dangerous part of a downpour because the water will force the road dirt and oil to float on water making a thin film of fluid to tread on. This is aggravated by a huge downpour and worse if your car's tires are worn, hydroplaning is more likely to happen. The change in temperature will also lessen the tire grip on the road, and this combined with the floating oil and debris will make things harder for the first few minutes of the downpour kaya take it slow.

unless the metal is red hot then it won't make any difference. metal needs to get red hot for it to temper. it's the least you need to worry about. as mbeige said, you need to worry more about the road condition.

Well said mbeige. Don't think about the structure of your car and its parts. Design yang mga yan into extreme sudden changes of temperature/weather condition. Pag biglang ulan lalo na matagal na di umulan, safety first ang consider mo kasi yan yung mga times na sobrang dulas ng hi-way because of oil and dirt. Drive safely mga tsikoters!!!
