    Yung mga lumang oto nasa engine bay AC resistor block (lapit sa firewall). Could be one of those.

    why would they be doing work inside the car kung oil change? it probably just gave out even if wala sila ginawa. malas lang siguro yung casa na dun bumigay sa kanila.

    price comparison of casa vs auto supply is crazy though... if you want a cheap part then by all means specify it but don't compare it to the ones that have gone through quality testing.

    Next time kay SpeedyFix mo nalang ipagawa iyun car mo, iyun may ari pa mismo aasikaso sa iyo, si Sir Migs. makikita mo na trabahohin ng mechanic ang sasakyan mo, hindi nila iwan hanggat hindi naayos sasakyan mo. pwede mo pa bantayan at mag request kung ano gusto mo ipagawa sa kanila, very reasonable pa ang pricing nila compared to casa and the rest.

    pag punta ko doon couple of days ago, nakita ko inaayos at service nila lahat high end vehicles like Subaru Impreza WRX, M5 BMW, Merc Brabus, Toyota Celica Vielside... tapos dala ko lang isang hamak na Hyundai Matrix...

    hindi ka pa maiinip sa pag hintay sa pag ayos ng sasakyan, dami paglilibangan, may cable television, playstation 2, RC cars and magazines... (hindi ko napansin kung may FHM...):hihihi:

    downside lang iyun office amoy cigarettes.

    Yun nga rin ang argument ko, I just had my aircon serviced (and it was working fine before I went there). They informed me that maybe baka sa dahil luma na raw ang sasakyan ko. To which I told them that it was working fine before I went there (ang sabi nila me pumutok daw na dalawang diode sa loob ng aircon amplifier which they could no longer fix- - - they will just ask for replacement from Manila but until now wala pa). Ang sagwa nga tingnan ngayon ng ginawa nila sa aircon ko coz nakalawit sa passenger side below the glove compartment ang thermostat. I no longer have control via the dash ng aircon ko, I have to go the passenger side and rotate the freaking thermostat to control the temperature. In terms of the parts that they replaced, I checked as to the items replaced, twas the same make as what was being sold with auto supplies here, yet the prices are double or triple of the prices.

    iba ang pricing ng casa sa auto supply kase mas malaki overhead nila at marami sila pa-sweldo. at isa pa, OEM parts talaga kinakabit nila, di sila oorder sa auto supply sa tabi. pwede lang sila umorder ng parts from the plant (which the plant subcontracts). every step of the way shempre pataas ng pataas ang price ng parts.

    your complaint about the busted aircon is justifiable, but at least they're not charging you for the 16k part, which I find very good customer service from the casa. and in case they charge you, you have the right not to pay for it.

    the only thing really worth ranting about: how long does it take for them to get the part from their suppliers?

    marami na ganyan cases OJT lang kasi pinagagawa nila .. yung mga veterano na mekaniko panay utos lang

    There would always be good as well as shocking/horror stories about CASA service - if I could find a good reliable shop besides CASA, i would take my car there instead. Minsan talaga charge to experience na lang yan, but at least di nila pinabayaran sayo bill ng nasira nila.

    Sa pricing naman, i think you have the option to buy the parts sa labas kung namamahalan ka, then pakabit mo na lang sa kanila.

    There are more than enough horror stories as well about non-CASA shops - Rapide, Zafra, etc. Hehehe.

    Minsan swertehan lang talaga makahanap ng magaling na CASA with a very good service advisor. Same goes with non-CASA shops/mechanics.

    Unfortunately, sometimes it's not an option. The dealership I used to go to charges an additional 20% on labor costs for customer-supplied parts, whether OEM or replacement; they'd rather have you buy the parts straight from them. That was the biggest turn-off for me.

    Mga sirs gayan po talaga sa Casa, wag na kayo magtaka. Bibigyan ko po kayo ng ilang paliwanag at sabihin ninyo kung tama o mali.
    1. Lahat po siguro ng manufacturer ng cars hindi magbibigay ng recommendation sa lahat ng car owners na tatagal yun car ng 10 to 15 years ng alang wear and tear ang car (engine, tranny, sensors, controls, etc.). Di po ata cla papayag, kc malulugi ang car manufacturer. Pero kung Ferrari ang car nyo ibang usapan na yan, cla kc iba ang patakaran, sa kanila lahat ng ginawa nilang car gusto nila magtagal for so many years.
    2. Di po ba pag dinala natin sa casa yun car natin para sa preventive meaintenance di naman natin alam kung ano ginagawa sa loob kc di natin pede makita? So, di rin natin alam kung preventive nga yun ginagawa nila o baka naman para masira. Para kumita ulit cla. Meron nga po me alam na ibang casa na cla pa mag remind sa yo na due po preventive maintenance ka na. BAKIT? Para kumita ulit cla. Tatakutin ka na ma void yun warranty pag di mo dinala. Eh alam naman nila na dun sa warranty period di naman talaga masisira(major) agad yun car.
    3. Come to think of it, habang nagkaka edad yun cars natin lalo dumadami yun cra. Ganun ba yun preventive? mukhang mali po ano?
    4. Oh and not to 4get yung price sa casa sobra ang laki, para bang harapharapang holdup ang dating.
    5. Tapos ang damipang back job kc di naman talaga lahat ng gumagawa sa casa ay marunong. Well at least meron pinag-pa-praktisan na brand new car yun di marunong na mekaniko, kaya lang pag yun car mo ang napunta sa kanya, patay kang bata ka! Sigurado yun back job ka ulit. Okey lang sana kung ibabalik sa yo yung bayad mo, pag minamalas ka pa meron ka ulit babayaran para sa ibang cra na ala naman dati.

    Whew haba. Salamat po sa time nyo.
