auxillary fan

Pilo,

mali po ang pagkaka alam mo, fan ng radiator ng mga RWD ay pahigop ng radiator (nasa likod ito ng radiator sa pagitan ng engine diba).....so what it does is higopin ang cool air outside the car (galing sa harap ng oto's grille)....dadaan ang hangin sa fins ng radiator (thereby doing heat exchange at pinapalamig ang radiator)....pass thru the fan blades....and towards sa baba ng oto....

So kung ang ilalagay mo na aux fan ay nasa harap ng radiator...dapat papasok sa engine ang buga nito para tinutulungan nito ang existing mong radiator fans.

Things that would help a lot: radiator shrowd (dapat meron), use coolant:water mixture instead of plain water, get multi-bladed fans (radiator and auxiliary fans), thermal-type na radiator (di ko alam ang tawag dun talaga, pero uso ito sa mga pick-up na pagmainit ang hangin nagkakaroon ng reaction ang metal na ito sa radiator fan at kanyang "tini twist" pa ng konti ang mga blades para masmalakas ang higop ng air), high rpm motors ng auxiliary fans, metal blades ang aux fan para hindi matunaw.

ganon ba. in that case isa lang direction ng hangin, which is good. ayan malinaw na. salamat po.

my 2 cents

how about naman yung mga VAN the condenser facing UP and DOWN then the Aux. Fan is on top of the Condenser so how's the rotation of the Fan is pushing the air or pulling the air up?

it doesn't really matter if it pushes or pulls as long as you're moving the hot air away from the surface, so kung horizontally mounted ang radiator/condenser, the fan should help the air move upwards (natural flow ng air).

Push or pull, it makes no diff, wag lang push-pull sabay coz it tends to move the air too much and not remove the actual hot air on the surface of the fins.

IMO push downwards sa lupa...lalo na kung walang head room ang condenser... kung meron enough head room sa condenser pede kang mag pull upwards....hot air normally raise up...so kung nakatigil ang ride, maganda ang pull upwards kaso kung walang head room the hot air might bounce back lang sa condenser....that is why IMO dapat pababa ang wind direction kung walang head room sa condenser (what I meant was kung masyadong nakadikit ang condenser sa underside ng sasakyan.
