Hindi ko naman na experience yan sa Samson. Marami na rin nagsabi niyan sa akin tungkol sa Meralco. May isa aong classmate na ganyan din ang expeience. "Mababaw"daw. Sa Samson i think ok, hindi sila nagmamarunong. maganda ang foundation sa Automotive 1937 pa sila nag open ng school catering specifically to automechanics.
Badkuk,
May earlier thread ako on the courses and discription nila.

October 26th, 2006 07:02 PM #22btw mancor holdings, the mother company of autotechnika is launching its automotive school next year called the AUTOMOTIVE SERVICE INSTITUTE.
Right now what we can do is TESDA mandated NC-II certification: needed by all mechanics if they want to work in the automotive industry (as per DTI law). We are the only school right now that can certify mechanics (with the exception of TESDA).

Bo,
Sa Samson, covered ang basic engine constructions and parts. The internal combustion engine has changed a little in terms of design. Even the turbo and intercooling system has been around for more than a decade now. Only the fuel delivery, computer and electronic system of the engine has made great strides to promote better emissions, fuel efficiency and high speed operations.
In schooling, its important to read updated materials to augment to lessons discussed by your instructor.. In my case I read Diesel Engines and Fuel Systems by Dagel

October 30th, 2006 09:03 AM #27Sirs,
4jgtootsie: Parang ASE ba? Actually we're currently in talks with them. We want to bring in their standards here. =)
Qman: We do, pero we only get them from TUP. We have a partnership with them. But when the school is launched, all those who go through the school will of course go through Autotechnika.
Boeing_747: Yes sir, will update you regarding school's status. And: Kami pa lang ang may status as assessor to certify mechanics besides TESDA.
All the technical schools' curriculum are mandated by TESDA. But of course, it's the prerogative of the school to update their curriculum.
