7k-FE Tuning

Has anybody done mods to a 7K-FE (Revo GLX 1.8L) motor?

It's a good and reliable engine, strong enough pulling power (towed a packed L300 with it), but I'd like to get more out of the engine. I saw some mods in an Australian site, but they said it's better to swap out the engine.

Appreciate your thoughts on this.

the engine is 7K-E ..wala pong 'F' sa pagkaka-alam ko po..

based sa mga local forums napuntahan ko.. there's nothing much you can do about it.. engine swap lang talaga..

push rod era pakasi yun 'K' series, di practical for further mods masyadong mabigat yung engine & tranny set ..>>

well for one thing, it's not for drag racing. ;) just want some piece of mind that it wont give me the short end of things esp. when overtaking. bitin lang talaga yung engine, sabayan mo pa ng matic.

what could be a good engine change for this? I've seen someone put a 4age in a 2nd gen tamaraw pero manual yun, and i don't know how he got the bell housing to fit it.

intake exhuast freeflow set or IHE, advancing ignition timing ..>>

turbo will not really help... also its pretty expensive, imagine spending at least 60K for our Revo.

sa isang website, 3STGE daw maganda sa revo para kaya ang body.. not sure kung meron ng gumawa nito dito sa atin

kung yang 3S'GE e longitude OK yan, kailangan convertion, pero medyo bitin sa low RPM, peak power kasi yang mga GE type engine's..>>

7K deliver max torque* 3500rpm up, yung 3sge eh 5000rpm up ata..>>

Kung pwede lang sana yung 2TZ-FE sa Revo.
2.4L DOHC 160HP*5000RPM. Kaso pahiga yung makina na yon. Di papasok sa engine Bay ng Revo.

2L-T ..wow turbo revo hehe.. kaso madami yata mga surf models na meron problem sa engine..

3L diesel pwede din.. ito yung makina ng hiace grandia.. not sure kung kelangan din palit ng transmission..
