    hello!

i will be getting a subic LWB pajero with a 4d56 TDIC engine... its mileage is above 100k already... i plan to change the timing belt.
what are the parts to be replaced? how much would they cost?? any other things you suggest i should replace or have checked while doing the job???

also, do you have any recommended mechanic in manila area... near sta mesa or tondo??

    TIA

sorry di kita marerecomendahan ng shop, pero i suggest ung "home service" mechanic for this type...malamang matagal yan...just be ready a hefty amount..

for the timing belt & tensioner i think hindi lalampas yan ng 2K for the parts. water pump may GMB na yan most probably which in my experience is a good replacement brand ( i would guess is around 1-1.5K. ).

Yes, get a new pump now para isang baklasan na lang. Malaki matitipid mo sa labor. GMB is good enough.

Just make sure you use 50/50 mix ng coolant and distilled water (the stuff you drink). The coolant acts as a lubricant and anti-corrosive while distilled water will not form scales or have any solid particles in it.

Kung sa parts mas alam nila otep, PK yan coz mas madami silang experience at suking tindahan. if you have extra cash isama mo na yung water pump.

suggest ko lang get the orig parts for timing belt, critical part kasi yan (along with the brake pads). To add din i guess matic yan kung subic so palitan mo na rin yung ATF fluid para swak na swak sa long drives
