Recently nasunog yung radiator fan ko so i bought a surplus sa banawe and they also gave me a fuse. When I went home, I noticed that the fuse was slightly shorter and printed on it was "30A 32V". Doon sa luma "30A" lang walang 32V. I worried kung tama ba yung fuse na binigay sa akin. Puzzled din ako kasi bakit 32v-- 32 volts ba ibig sabihin non? Diba 12 volts lang ang mga automotive fuses?

Btw, the car is a Nissan Sentra series 3.

Don't lose sleep over it ...

The voltage rating relates to its ability to function and extinguish arcs when it opens. When 2 conductors are close enough (but not touching) and the voltage is high enough, electricity can still "jump" through air - this is what an arc is.

The current rating is the current that the fuse can carry for indefinite time periods without opening.

In short, it's OK, you can use it as long as it fits
