What's your route? Talagang magastos sa gas ang 1.6 AT... and old Hyundai gas engines aren't very efficient compared to others, too.

Kung Makati route ka, that's probably typical.

Have your compression checked and also look at your exhaust. A leaking gasket on my 626 before lowered my fuel economy from 7 to 5 km/l.

Thanks

Check the condition of everything. Do an oil change, check compression, check your exhaust.

But, I'm telling you, since it's an old Hyundai engine, chances are that's normal for the design.

Even if it's automatic, there should be an adjustment screw on the throttle body.

It could be a vacuum problem giving you high rpms, but I don't know much about your specific car. Best to take it to an expert... Columbia Motors (near St. Luke's, I think) might have mechanics more familiar with the car than Servitek.

    ito suggestion ko
change OEM air filter to after market (optional to ha) best brand K&N or regular change air filter
change engine oil to full synthetic
    lighten load
check AT, baka di kana nagchange gear / regular change ng AT fluid
tire pressure 30-32psi or change to nitrogen filled
    check for leaks

What they did eh kinabitan ng laptop computer to see whats the problem. Ni-reset nila yung mga sensors sa makina and thats it.Ok na till now nag average ako ngayon city driving 7-8 kilometers per liter of gas. never tried sa long drive...Not bad kesa naman nung dati almost 5k/liter lang...

Congrats! 7-8 km/l is just about right for a 1.6 matic in the city. How much did the reset cost?

that's much better. also, check what viscosity oil you are using. kung 20w50 baka masyado malapot and you can save more by switching to a thinner oil.
