Looks like yung estimate na nga ng insurance yung gagamitin.

Weird thing is yung insurance in-house is parang walang balak contactin yung insurance ng kabila para singilin, after they gave me the total amt of deductible/payment for the repair.

errr... why are you talking to the other guy's insurance provider, po?
you should be talking to your insurance provider only. bahala sila makipag-usap sa kabilang insurer. that is what they are for.

if your insurance provider won't answer the total cost of repair (minus participation fee), ask them why. ask for the breakdown. perhaps there is something in there, that you might tweak, to minimize costs.

In my experience, insurance companies will not bother collecting the participation fee from the other party. Too much hassle on their part, this is probably why it's callled participation. They expect you to participate in the cost of repairs, thus nasa sa iyo na kung kaya mo ipasagot sa other party.

Deductible or Participation fee is your responsibility ... it's up to you whether you will require the other party to pay ... and if it's worth your time to do so ... when getting insurance, deductible is one of the items that you should be negotiating ... 3,000 is about the average deductible ... some dealers like Mazda have ZERO deductible if you get insurance from them when you purchase a vehicle ...

That kind of damage will take at least 30-45 days to repair ... realistically speaking ...

Well it depends in the depreciation of your vehicle sometimes you need to pay almost 30-40% of the amount of repair cost if your vehicle is 4-5 years older.

can TS share, what are the parts that need replacement, and what are the costs and depreciation fees?

Bago pa siguro ito doc, he is talking about parts availability from the plant, so nasa casa ang sasakyan. Tama ba hehehe...

if parts are to be replaced, they have a formula.
zero depreciation for the first xx months.
then for every additional year, a certain percentage...

it's not the casa that charges depreciation. it's the insurance provider.

i think TS mentioned that the car is 3 years old, going on 4 (entry #3 on the first page).
