Yung mga multicab na nakikita ko dito na N ang start ng plate, usually may sticker ng RUSCO sa windshield nila. May mangilan-ngilan rin akong nakikita dito na J or K ang simula. I'm thinking of buying 1 para dun sa agri land na nabili namin sa Mindanao. Panghakot ng mga gamit at ani.

Kung agri land at pang hakot, kunin mo yung 4x4 versions at lifted versions nito. Bantay ka lang sa center of gravity at stability on uneven roads.

If it is any comparison, para lang itong tulad ng mga 4x4 Suzuki Beavers nung nakaraan. Very capable offroaders pero madali lang mag topple to one side pag malalim daan at hindi na maniobra ng mabuti. Good news is dahil hindi mabigat, madali ding ituwid. Personally witnessed this back when the mountain roads of Cebu were really mountain roads and we were in a convoy going to the farm

from what i understand,
no loophole is necessaary.
the rules are clear.
one has but to abide by them and pay the proper taxes.

what the end user has to mind, however,
is the quality of the product, as the others above have already mentioned.

ang alam ko we are technically not allowed to import used cars.

OFWs are allowed to bring home 1 car pero required din na first owner yung OFW.

so for sure may loophole na nakikita ang importers kaya nakapasok sa atin itong mga Kei vans/trucks.

nung 90's... may loophole na nakita ang tito ko that allowed him to bring in full sized "used" sedans from Japan
same tito had a Mustang that can only be registered sa Subic under the name of the original American owner

Technically these "utility vehicles" should only be used inside the "freeport zones". So the first ones imported were used trucks, vans and wagons, all RHD back in the early 90's. Kaso the implementation became more relaxed and rules openly interpreted. Pero ang registration niyan is still only possible sa local (Cagayan, Cebu, Davao, Subic) dahil wala nga yan taxes kaya takaw huli lalo't very distinct yung mga plates (R-, B-, Y-prefixes).

I think they are cutting up the vehicles up and importing them as CKD kits. Not sure if i'm comfortable with the idea and the way they are cutting the vehicles apart.
