We came out with the scoop about the PGA Group acquiring distributorship rights for Bentley, now it's official. British luxury automobile manufacturer Bentley Motors Limited, officially appoints PGA Automobile, Inc. as its authorized sole importer and distributor in the Philippines. The appointment covers sales and retail of Bentley's exclusive luxury cars, such as the Continental GT and the Mulsanne.

This will be supported by the full complement of aftersales capability, utilizing a dedicated service facility equipped with a comprehensive set of specialized tools for the various models in the Bentley range.

Shown in photo are (L-R) Head of Marketing and Communications Asia Pacific for Bentley Robin Peel, PGA Automobile Chairman Robert Coyiuto, Jr., Bentley Motors Limited Operations Director Dave Hayter, and Franchise Development Manager Derrick Fraesdorf.

Bentley Manila, the first Bentley facility in the country, will open its showroom at the PGA Center in Greenhills and will be opening its doors in the first quarter of 2013.

I remember the incident at the Jaguar showroom launch where someone invited Kim Henares. Must have been a woot seeing all the other attendees quietly slipping away. :D

I think one unit a month is a realistic target for Bentley, but who knows... might be more.

Bentley has a different demographic to Ferrari, so it's possible that potential buyers have not been tapped out. The problem is, I don't see sales staying at that level after the first year or two.
