My Astra is a 2002 model with about 26k+ kms on it already. Its driven about 3-4 days a week but only for dropping/picking up the kids in school. I think the reasonable mileage for a used car is dependent on its age. I maybe wrong but perhaps an average mileage of 15-20k kms/year is a good benchmark. Just do the math on your cars from there.Originally Posted by edl100
I also think 15T to 20T is about right in a year.
So ang 2001 model which is a 5 year old car should have made 75-100,000kms. So mababa pa ang mileage ng car ko at 49,500 kms.
May illusion kasi sa used car na basta umabot na ng 100,000kms ang kotse, laspag na.
So 55 kms a day or lower ang average use dapat ng car.
Lets have an EB-inuman this 23rd?? Thursday night?? Whoever is free on that day maybe after office hours? 8:00 onwards?? Maybe somewhere in Ortigas.
nakapunta na ako sa cruven.. pinagawa ko yung astra ko.. may tumutunog kasi sa harap eh... nung tiningnan yung stabilizer link problem.. inayos nila tapos pati iba kong pag ilalim pinaayos ko na din kasi kalas na.. cost me 4.1k for the repairs... and so far ok naman.... alignment nila manual lang.. so I suggest na sa servitek na lang...Originally Posted by caloystermx5

that's good to know! btw, is the stab link the plastic part (vertical in orientation) that makes a really bad creaking sound (over humps or rough roads), medyo mura naman palitan (mga P1k plus) or is it something else? For the P4.1k job ano pa ginawa sa pangilalim? May konting mga creak na rin astra ko, very tolerable pa naman but in the future kakailanganin na siguro.Originally Posted by bino727
Hi caloystermx5. Yes, yun na ang Stabilizer Link. It is a common problem to most cars. Yung Ford Lynx namin, 2 years old pa lang, nasira na ang stabilizer link. The Ford stabilizer link cost P2,500 sa Casa. Sa Zafira ko tumagal nang 4 years. P1,200 lang ang Stabilizer link sa GM autoworld.Originally Posted by caloystermx5
Hi. New lang ako dito and am hoping you can help me out. I was thinking of getting a Vectra. Ever since it came out I liked the form factor. Now napansin ko may mga nagbebenta ng price range of 190k to 220k. Ok ba yung prices na yun?
I was also trying to find reviews online kung bakit ganun ang price niya. From what I have read so far, may problems daw sa overheat but sabi pa ng iba madami pang problems but the sites I went to never got into detail. Are there any other problems that I should look into?
I know the most generic comment is mura pero mahal piyesa and most likely malakas sa gas but plan ko lang naman is weekends lang gamitin and hatid sundo sa wife ko to MRT which is not so far naman from home. Can anyone tell me expected fuel consumption ng Vectra?
Any info would be most appreciated. Thanks!![]()

Bridgestone at Fort has alignment specs for the astra. I like the shop. Looks like they can also do tune ups. You can bring the parts or they can order it kaya lang maghihintay ka.
big plus is other cars you're gonna see. nakakita ako ng AMG55 Kompressor!![]()

yup bakal na... nag fabricate sila on the spot... sakto naman na 2 days before may nagpagawa kaya sandali lang nag fabricate.... refill lang ginawa nila sa mga ball joints... they could also refill shocks...Originally Posted by manager

Tanong ko lang po, kung ano ang normal temperature ng Vectra? salamat po

The gauge below is from a Zafira with normal operating temperature at a moving speed. (take note of the 200 kph speed at 5300 rpm)
Things that fail most of the time are the thermostat, water pump, dirty or clogged radiator and maybe a new coolant.

Hi, sorry for my earlier post. I edited the post. I meant 90 degrees which is the middle part. 85-95 on the gauge is the normal temperature.Originally Posted by jojomiranda
