Maganda naman magtrabaho sa Singapore. Its one of the safest country in the world; madami na rin Pinoy dito. Its a modern city with nothing much to do (if you already work here) except work, work and work!!!

SGD 1800 is good enough for starters, sana provided na ang accomodation. If not you have to spare around SGD 400 - 500 for a room and sharing with other pinoys or even with the locals. Some companies provide daily transport to work, may pick up point sila near MRT's. Anyways, its a good steping stone to come here and look for something better...that's what we all do when we arrive here.

Singaporeans are good people, you might just find them arrogant sometimes, even their government ask them to be more polite and to smile more!

Former Singapore OFW here. Almost 7 yrs din ako ryan. Batang Ang Mo Kio.

Hehe, layo na po yung panahon na yan, 1200 won't even get you a 2br HDB nowadays... 2br condo starts at 2k for the most part... Rooms averages 400-600/mo without util.

Yung rent na yun (SGD 1,200 for a 2BR Condo in AMK), that was 2005 pa. Grabe!

Just started working here again in SG since Jan '08. 2BR HDB easily 1.6K SGD, 1.8K if nearer to MRT. It was only around 900SGD 10 years ago. and 700SGD 15 yrs ago. Lahat nagtaasan na even foods. It's almost same living standard now as HK... but it's still a liveable country though.
