Flatfender Marhaba!

I've spend 12 years there in Dubai. I worked for Dubai Drydocks, but now I'm here at Singapore. Nice place to live and drive, with all those nicely paved and wide roads. I use to own a Toyota Celica (87 model) with 3SGE engine, same as what Mohd Bin Sulayem used to drive on Rallys in the early 90's...matakaw sa mata ng arabo at palaging tinatawaran!

    I miss that place!

    Hi Pajoz,

You have a nice car, sarap ibyahe yan from Abu Dhabi to Dubai!

When I was there, madalas ako sa mga scrap yard sa Rashidiya at sa Sharjah and I use to buy some spare parts from scrap vehicles like shocks, tires, rims etc...for my tsikot back home and send it by sea freight. Would you believe, some guys from where I work are sending chop chop motorbikes! Nauso kasi yun nang i-introduce nila and mga galvanised boxes for cargo!!

Pajoz, I just noted on your location: etivac - uae at present...are you from Cavite and a pure Caviteno... or you just got a house there? Im from etivac too!

i'm doing the same thing, but most of the time mga genuine parts ang buy ko dito, like brake pads, clutch disc, filters, injectors, brake disc. Mahal kasi sa atin ang genuine parts. when did you left DUBAL? may mga nakasama kmi dati mga taga-DUBAL na local nung nag- trekking kami, HATTA, Fujairah, Masafi and Khorfakkan.

My father is from Toclong, Imus and my mother from binakayan,kawit...

I was there '98-00 working in Dubai Police Ambulance before I came here in NY .Nice job, man kung hindi natutulog , kumakarera sa pagresponde sa aksidente. I've seen a lot of trauma in that place man...
Man, the best place to work kung wala lang asawa, mga pinoy band marami pa rin ba? I terribly miss the place, planning to have a stopover in the near future, I still got some of my friends but most of them are in the US now......

I think, almost the same pa din ang pagkuha ng license..mahirap pa din..sa Dubai, konti na lang yung private co. dahil nagkaroon na ng bagong policy, only schools with high standard of facilities na lang like Emirates, Galadari and Belhasa to name a few.. F1 was done in Bahrain meron na ring Autodrome dito for racing fanatics.. try to visit Dubai..you will see a lot of improvements!

    Hello guys!
I'm a 28 year old single guy and I have an offer to work in Dubai for 1,350 USD/mo as Analyst/Programmer. I'm having second thoughts about accepting the offer kasi pumapatak lang na less than double of what I'm currently getting dito sa Pinas. Although libre naman ang housing/transpo, I'm still wondering if it's worth leaving my family and friends.
So, for peeps out there working in Dubai, what do you guys think? Is it a fair offer?
    Please enlighten me. Thanks.

tol.i was there almost 7 years and working there in dubal(dubai aluminium co.) yang offer sayo ay less than $400 na,nasa sayo na iyan kung tatanggapin mo.kasi di ko alam ang kondisyon ng trabaho mo dyan sa pinas kung maganda at kung ok na sayo ang kinikita mo! ngayon ito lang ang masasabi ko sayo sa dubai,UAE- parang dika rin umalis ng pilipinas dahil open city yan at kapag open, ibig sabihin niyan lahat ay naandyan.yung kinakain mo sa pinas eh mayroon din.ngayon nasa iyo yang kung naandoon kana at gastusin mo ang pera mo,kasi nga may night life doon, kung may pangarap ka at may obligasyon ka.iwasan mo ang lahat ng bisyo doon at mag-ipon ka.kung sa ganda eh talagang paradise yan sa ARABS country.mas- maganda rin yung may experience ka sa abroad at makasalamuha ang iba-ibang klase ng tao.dito lang yang sa middle east.good luck whatever is your decision and i hope i see you around here in middle east...

Bro, you mean to say I'd be shortchanged by 400 USD?
Ang laki din nun, sayang! Anyway, I just hope may 13th month bonus and if ever meron, patulan ko na yung offer. Meron nga bang bonus diyan?
Tama ka ang dami ko ngang nababasang good things about Dubai; and from what I've seen sa TV ang ganda-ganda nga nya. It would an experience of a lifetime for me kasi hindi pa ako nakapunta anywhere abroad.
Thank you and hope to see you in Dubai too.
