It is having the 'Almighty Dollars' in some of the OFW's pocket that gives them the feeling of grandiose delusions.
This goes on the moment they step out of the Immigration and long before they are scheduled back, nagbebenta na ng mga ipinundar na alahas, TV, real estate, car, etc..etc... but of course there are exceptions....

    The story happens.

Most of the time, kawawa ang OFW kasi gagawin na milking cow ng mga relatives.

Bibihira para sa isang OFW after working for several years na babalik dito and di na maghihirap.

last week i was in a supermarket. nakapila ako sa counter and i noticed a family before me unloading tons of grocery. i also noticed that they keep on adding more items other than the ones inside their cart. i also heard them that nagwowork yung mother nila sa abroad which is with them during that time. now when the mother is about to pay thru credit card, di tinanggap yung card dahil over na raw. biglang kinabahan yung mother and nagtanong sa ibang family members kung meron bang dalang cash. buti meron yung isang anak. otherwise nakakahiya.

^^ Yup. Piranha ang dapat itawag sa kanila.

Sa Barangay namin, gusto nila lahat painumin mo. Grabe! Pupuntahan ka pa sa bahay! Pag di mo pinansin at syempre di naman lahat pwede mong paunlakan, sabihin sa iyo........."Pare, takot ka na sa Pilipino, ah!"

Buti na lang we're moving out na this year, to our new house. Bye-bye mga PIRANHAS!

what a great read! i agree with most of you guys, its about our society. dumadami kamag anak pag may pera, eventhough may alitan, or worse di mo talaga kilala.

another factor why some OFWs spend their money like there's no tomorrow, is the lack of financial advice. "if we don't spend it, what do we do with it? so why not have a little fun while it lasts?" mostly yan ang mentality nang ibang OFWs that i've met.
