Filipino wins $1M in Qatar raffle
A Filipino hotel employee won the $1 million jackpot in a raffle draw offered by Qatar Duty Free (QDF), a subsidiary of Qatar Airways, a Gulf Times report said Friday.
Otessa Carbonnel Schiapparelli, who works with the Moana Hotel in Palawan, purchased the ticket worth 950 Qatar riyals (P12,881) while transiting Doha en route to Manila on October 17, the report said.
The prize winning ticket was drawn at a function held at the Qatar Duty Free at the Doha International Airport Thursday.
Otessa is the first Filipino to win a Qatar Duty Free raffle draw. It was the first time that QDF gave a $1 million jackpot after offering only one million Qatar riyals (P13.5 million) as the top prize since the contest started three years ago.
The Qatar Airways subsidiary said it would conduct a draw whenever 5,000 tickets are sold.
Passengers flying to and from Doha International Airport will be able to purchase raffle tickets that are available at the departure, arrival, as well as the VIP area of the airport.

me tax din yan pagka...

ok na money making scheme to ah.
sell tickets worth P12,881 each and give out a prize with every 5,000 sold...
P12,881 x 5,000 = P64,405,000. less the 49,000,000 jackpot, Quatar Airways makes P15.4 million after every drawing with very little promo and advertising costs. nice :hihihi:
