otep: Sa mga base models yung perpetually in motion na prop shaft. Walang base models dito sa atin, eh. hehehe.
just making sure, so does this mean if we go ahead with the conversion we won't be having this problem? thanks.
pajerokid: Theyre just protecting their interests Palagay ko a substantial portion of the 200k is labor.
labor ng mga boss ng nissan? =)
boybi: i'm not sure what's included pero nakalagay ito dun sa taas ng rearview mirror. parang yung sa trooper.
as in the one installed sa gas versions ng patrol? yun temp and direction gauge?
arb: ano ba model ng transmission ng new patrol? maybe you can look for transmission ng old patrol na auto with shifter and buy it as a whole. or look may mga chassis with engine and diffs na surplus moreor less than 100k buy the whole set and get what you need, the shifter, prop shaft and locking hubs and well the other maybe for 50k. suggestion lang.
sounds interesting, do you have any suggestion on where to get the parts and who can do proper installation?
arb: will try to get pics tomorrow. will send it asap. i also forgot to get the specs of the bumper lights also. tomorrow.
kindly let me know also. thank you.

Sir dx,
Sa Pajero ok lang yung perpetually in motion. Yung manual locking hubs ng GEN I naming isa (after the base model) ay lagi na lang nasa "LOCK" position 24/7 just in case biglang kailanganin ang 4WD capability.
I have never had a chance to have a Patrol kasi, eh. Hanggang panaginip lang...wish ko lang...

just want to thank everyone for all the info.
otep: i'm not sure if the 4x4 conversion will include manual or auto locking hubs. if we had a choice, which one would be better? can you give a detailed answer, im not that familiar with 4x4 systems.
boybi: we seem to be in a similar situation. i was looking around the net and found some info that you may be interested in.
http://www.wheels24.co.za/Wheels24/C...,37840,00.html
according to that article, kapag 4x4 155 kph max na, as compared to 170 i did on 4x2. not that we go that speed often, but just thought you might want to know.
also, how about this conversion:
