I tried to step on the gas and took note of my cars rev limiter. its a 1997 nissan sentra series 3 super saloon.

its not harmful... just don't keep it there for too long. A few seconds will not hurt.

kaya paiyakin city. maybe your rev isnt high enough and/or yung release ng clutch, not fast enough.

rev limiter will cut off the throttle even if you press the gas has hard as you can. it does not mean na sputter yung rpm, rev limiter is taking effect. try to hit it the red line zone then the rev limiter will take effect.

edit: pwede tangalin rev limiter if you want. pero if your running stock... theres no point to do so.

to override the speed limiter, you have to beef up your engine first to withstand the high engine speed. some cars can be flash reprogrammed to go above the original designed rpm. reciprocating engines have a limit as to how fast the engine turns. the fastest so far was that of a ferrari at 21000 rpm. your honda was not designed the same way. car manufacturers put this limit for safety reasons and for engine longetivity

rev limiter and speed limiter are 2 different things just so you know. removing your rev limiter is just plain stupid, if you don't want a blown engine then don't remove your rev limiter.

now removing your speed limiter is a different story. on my car the top speed is 190kph at 5.5k rpm, now if i remove the speed limiter i'm sure it can hit 210-220kph since my car can go up to 7k rpm.

Keep the rev limiter ... unless you want to see engine parts exploding out through your hood if you do a missed shift.

Just do a speedlimiter removal... can be done but the method differs depending on the car/engine.
