    I need ur help guys. ung patrol namin 2003 model, malakas na talaga ung leak sa turbocharger kaya pagbinuksan mo ang air filter may langis na din. ayaw naman namin ipagawa sa nissan kasi ang sinisigaw 100k nung pinacheck naman namin sa isang shop sa caloocan na puro turbo lang ang binebenta dapat daw palitan ung turbo cartridge 45k I was thinking baka pwedeng taiwan o china na turbocharger nalang ipalit namin para mas mura mura.

    Can u suggest ano kaya magandang gawin. hindi ko rin alam anong specific type ng garrett oem turbo ung sa patrol. ano ba sa tingin nyo ang pwedeng maging replacement turbo sa stock na either taiwan or china na ok naman ung build quality?

    anyway iniisip ko turbo lang naman so ok na kahit hindi ung japan or US brand, wag lang ung mga engine internals.

    You could try to bring it to precision q.c, they rebuild turbos. Or you can try surplus turbos as well. Turbos are naturally expensive talaga e, even used ones are around 20k if I'm not mistaken.

    Second this... there are a number of shops that rebuild turbos. Last I heard, around 20-30k yung rebuild. This is probably the best way to go... if you buy used turbos, you're not assured of the quality of the turbo and how many miles are left on the bearing, so you might just be throwing good money after bad rebuilding the "new" used one.

    Chinese turbos are hit or miss. Some of them last a while. Some of them give up pretty early. This will obviously depend on the brand, and it might be to get one that's durable, you will still have to spend more.

    You definitely get what you pay for with chinese knock-off turbochargers...
