kimpoy -- that's right pala. may change engine number, new registration, payoffs (?, grrrrrr). kung sa technical side, i think baka walang problema but i would not really know for sure although that nissan mechanic did assure me.
pero, wow, pag ma convert lang ito ng diesel, the best na kahit i drive ko for the next 10 years (wag lang bumigay ang katawan, hahahaha). tingin ko, even then, it will still be an eye turner (sana, hehehehe)

siguro bilihin mo na lang and enjoy it for the meantime (hell im sure your patrol will be fast...)then kung sawa ka na kabibili nang gas ay saka ka na mag-engine swap, malay mo by that time eh medyo mas mura na ang TD42 ang mahal pa raw kasi nito ngayon eh....
and if you're going to use it outside metro medyo okay na siguro yung magiging konsumo nang ride mo...yang traffic ang malakas makaubos nang gaso eh....

5speed - tempting suggestion.
well (just in case in the future), if you happen to pass by a cool looking flat roof nissan patrol by the shoulder of slex or nlex flagging you down for gas, then ako na yun, hahahaha :D

tama yan, especially sa probinsya na walang unleaded. diesel pa rin ang pinaka convenient although you can really get spoiled with the power and silent running of a gas engine

July 21st, 2004 06:47 PM #28just a thought. pareho ba ang differencial ratio ng gas na patrol and diesel? alam ko, usually mas hi-speed ang diferencial ng gas version. so check it out. you might end up spending more bacuse you might have to chage the differencial din.

July 22nd, 2004 05:33 AM #29benderbot, all our gas fuel are unleaded na (as far as I know)...yun nga lang sa probinsya hindi ganun ka ganda ang gas fuel nila (often walang velocity)...
If I were you, I'd stick to the gas, ikondisyon mo lang lagi ang fuel system...kung EFI make sure all the sensors are calibrated or replaced on proper time (Oxygen meters needs to be replaced too)...kung carburator, properly cleaned lagi...specially the air filter (shift to K&N) para hindi sakal sa air. Mas fuel efficient ka lagi and mind your driving habit para di malakas sa konsumo. Medyo matakaw talaga ang auto tranny.
Pero kung magpapaswap ka na rin lang, I'd suggest going for the turbo 4.2 diesel na manual tranny. Si Jappy Alana talaga ang makakatulong sa iyo ng malaki...I still have his old cell number, kung di pa siya nagpapalit, PM it to you.
my 2 cents.
