try putting on tint on your windshield to lessen the sunlight.. other than that, wala ng solution akong nakikita..

Already have a full medium dark tint on my windshield.. I will try to clean the windshield and see what happens. X-Trail guys from Australia put a dash mat to prevent/minimize dashboard reflection. Now only if I can find a local source for the dash mat.

look for a flat black mat with smooth surface. i tried using the mat sold at ace/blade na meron maliliit na bilog na parang placemat, mas lalong nag reflect sa windshield. dahil din sa tint mo kaya nagiging parang mirror effect yung windshield. ganun din yung sa akin, magic neutral kaya nag rereflect ang dashboard.

According to the mechanic, ok par raw alternator. Yung pulley lang talaga. I tried the ff but no luck: 1, replacement/ reconditioned alternator 7500, it didn't match the old pulley(iba). 2, circuit pulley bearing 1800, same iba yung pulley walang spacer sasayad sa body ng alternator. My question is may iba pa bang ways maliban sa bibili ng bnew alternator? Thanks in advance.

Hmm.. I replaced my own (2008, T30 Tokyo) with a Narida alternator, ok naman chief. If you'd gone for an entire alternator assembly, it should have come with its own pulley..

Hello fellow tsikot, May naka-experiene na ba sa inyo about x-trail. Ayaw tumuloy sa pag-start.. May kuryente at nagka-crank naman.. May gasolina at bago rin ang battery.. 2007 2.0 tokyo edition model.. Salamat sa makakatulong!

Had this experience before with a 2002 Exalta. Immobilizer was found to be the problem.

I'm gonna bump this thread because I still have the old Xtrail and am experiencing the same issue as mentioned by kng200. i know it's been more than a year since he made his pulley issue but maybe some of the owners still have theirs and are able to fix it in a better way than I have. This year 3rd time na ako nagpalit ng pulley. Supposedly ok yung quality na nabibili ko from my electrician but twice na siya pumalya. Forgot the brand but it's Korean made. Took a pic of the orig vs the replacement. Meron bang nagpalit ng pulley lang sa inyo tapos tumagal siya? What brand did you get? Meron bang nabibili na original pulley? I'm assuming sa casa pero kung meron sana sa labas much better. Here's the pic of the orig and the replacement I have. Left ang orig.

Just registered, I read sa thread na XTRAIL is known for alternator pulley failure... Okay ba yung circuit brand as replacement? My Xtrail is 2004.

Also, I have OBD2 na connected sa computer box nya and I am averaging 13.1km/l sa long drive and 7.4km/l sa city driving.. Not sure if what is being displayed sa phone ko via downlaoded software is TRUE, but the battery and the coolant temp is somehow accurate naman. hehehe

Not really the alternator itself kundi yung alternator pulley. I had mine replaced and its been years now ok pa naman alternator ko. Replacement pulley cost around 1.5 to 3K.

Hello mga ka-Xtrail owners!!!

I bought a second hand Xtrail and it has been working well, mechanically and electrically specifically. Until the time na binaha yung loob nya because of extreme rain. so basically may leak somewhere sa mga rubber linnings nya.

I want to ask advice on a few things that has now come up with my car.
1. May umuugong na tunog sa kotse, di ko magets kung bearing ba sya or break. San kaya best mag pacheck and service ng xtrail if from Libis ako?
2. Nag-hard start yung xtrail ko as in after long drives, when the engine is hot. But sometimes di sya nagiging problema. What could possibly be the issue?
3. Mabilis na din maubos yung tubig sa xtrail ko, I would need to put in water every so often sa radiator and reserve water, which was not my problem before. Is don't see any leak from the radiator and wala naman visible na tagas ng tubig.
4. San kaya pwede mapa-check kung saan nagsi-sip in yung water sa kotse?
5. Saan po best magpacheck ng electrical ng auto?

Appreciate po lahat ng advice na mabibigay nyo.

Saw a second hand selling for 500k, is this reasonable? How come its way cheaper than other same year CUV's?
