may lusot pala yung 2-yr rule. pwede mong i-register as primary car yung iba kahit na ibang brand. eto yung response nya:

Bro, if / they have other vehicle na more than 2 years old pwede na gamitin yun as primary vehcile registered sa club. Kung non-nissan kahit 1 day old pa lang pwede iregister as primary vehicle, plate number nga lang nun ang lalabas sa card and not your x-trail but you can register your xty as secondary vehicle and still enjoy all the perks of the club.

KMO: Baka kasi may magandang accessories ng Xtrail na kakaiba e makabili. Hehe may mags kaya maganda dun na orig?

1) The intake manifolds are of a variable design. The short intake runners are only opened only when 5000rpm is reached, otherwise, only the longer intake runner is used throughout. Should we expect a big kick in the butt when we reach 5000rpm? Also, I wonder what it'd do to boost performance if the ECU is remapped to open the 2nd shorter intake runners at a mere 4000rpm and also at the expense of fuel consumption!)

2) The counter rotating balance shafts are actually rotating at twice the speed of the rpm you're at. So, it means that when you're doing 5000rpm, the counter balancer shaft is actually rotating at 10,000 rpm!!! According to the lead designer, Inamijima San, the balancer shafts would be safe spinning even past 20,000 rpm but the rest of the engine parts may 'fly' apart.... ahem...

3) Our crankshafts are micro polished for max efficiency and min. friction.

4) Our engines being much bigger in displacement than the previous ones by Nissan, is actually up to 10kg less in weight!!! Thanks to lesser part count and also aluminium precision die-casting technology. However, the drawback would be the open deck design being fragile when pushed far beyond it's designed capabilities. So, careful guys...don't overdo it ...haha. Some recommend that turbocharging be left out at best. Perhaps Nissan is still working on a light pressure turbo charged version of the QR series? Cos the Xtrail GT employs the SR20VET, the worlds first turbocharged variable valve lift & timing engine...or issit?)

5) The fuel system is returnless as in most new cars.

6) Fuel pressure is fixed at 50psi...yes... no variable pressure to suit manifold pressure...so we can forget about fixing the rising rate fuel pressure regulators in turbocharged systems.

7) No manual (and easy) advancing of the distributor to gain extra bhp...

8) No more valve shims used for adjusting lash. That means less mass, less maintenance of valve shims that wear out and make iritating noises (like my previous Toyota SEG)

my brother's xtrail consumes 7-8 km/li, masyado malakas engine nagspin tires pag bigla sa gas pedal, kulang traction ng gulong, we changed it to slightly wide tire gumanda traction, baka it has something to do with the consumption. also tire pressure plays big part sa consumption eh, and good sparkplugs
