AFAIK, kung timing chain na ang Vanette, then there's no need to replace it, even yung tensioner bearings.

Yung Sentra Series 3 ko, 10 years kong ginamit before I sold it in 2006. Never replaced the timing chain and tensioner bearings, but even after logging a mileage of 110,000++ kms., tahimik pa rin.

Our Vanette is just over 10 years old now and I have not changed its timing chain..... There are no telltale signs that it needs replacement, anyway.....

if you want to see a timing chain, eto po sya. Not same car, but ganyan looks nya. Also try looking for more related vids po.

Pero if you don't notice anything naman, no need to change it. Timing chains should last the lifetime of the car, provided the engine isn't abused.
