Ok thanks sir. Let's say, from drive to reverse. Malakas.

We had the same concern pala sir. I don't know 'cause ako palang ang nakakagamit nung sasakyan.

Haha

ang ayoko kasi sa casa, aside from the legendary parts prices, is their sense of "preventive maintenance"; it sometimes comes across to the customer as "being taken for a ride". meaning, kahit hindi naman sira, gusto nang palitan dahil "baka malapit nang masira".

they also say that it is usually better to replace the entire AT assembly than to have it repaired, because the innards of that thing is like a precision watch!
i have many examples of engines giving way before the manual trans does.
but nobody can disclaim the relative ease in driving an AT, which is its raison de 'etre. but by its very nature, it usually eats up more gas. i sometimes feel guilty when i use my AT and not my MT...

not to feel bad, sir. AT does have advantages, best felt in heavy traffic. the "hugeness" of the problem of AT versus MT is relative, sir. some are willing to live with it, others are not.
i have my oil change at the friendly neighborhood gas station, yung may promo. 1.3K or less lang, including oil filter.
paayos ng kalampag depends on what's causing the kalampag. ball joints cost more than rack ends.. shock bushings cost even less. and chassis/body rust costs the most.
door alignment? i spent 200 kesos many, many years ago.. no experience on it since.

    hope this helps Sir.

BTW, sa likod wala ka gaano problema sa sentra mo shocks alng lagi pinapalitan diyan pero expect checking of alignment and/or alignment every 6 months. pagnapabayaan sobra lakas kumain ng gulong niyan.

I had the car changed oil last february..

ATF means automatic transmission fluid. of course, it's used for automatic transmissions.
if you still have the auto manual, the type of fluid recommended is there.

kaya better, look for the OEM manual and the specification is there. then hanap ka na sir 012512 ng katumbas na specification sa lahat ng gasoline station.

    *012512: i suggest the following:
    - wag mo na sa casa ipagawa, out of warranty na nman yan. Sayang pera mo. Much better kung sa trusted neighborhood shop. Kung wala kang kilala, you may try Exalta Shop (located along one of the cross streets of Banawe) or sa Petron Service Station along Q Ave in frt of Pegasus (look for Mang Tony).
    - kailangan mo ipacheck all fluids (transmission, brake, power steering and radiator). Check all belts. Clean and inspect brakes on all four wheels. Check all suspension.
    - yung "thug" sound when shifting from N or P to R or D could mean at least one of your engine supports needs replacement.

    Hope this helps.

if i know exactly what needs to be repaired or replaced, then i'd head to the auto parts store and its score of mechanics.. ituturo ko lang ang gagawin, at gagawin ng mekaniko..
but if i don't know what's wrong, or i don't have the time, i bring it to the casa.

but for suspension, i never bring it to the casa. there's nothing hi-tech down there, that needs special equipment.. and they usually recommend complete replacement of everything, even those that still have some useful mileage in them.. preventive maintenance daw....
