    mga sir need po ng inputs nyo. Im planning to change my GA engine to diesel. Some say na CD20 daw ang ipalit dahil sa availability ng parts.

    Baka po meron napong naka pag palit o experience dito. Pa share naman po


    Price?
    Bolt in po ba ito?
    Need paba palitan trany?
    Fuel consumption?

    other feed back.

    nissan used to sell a box sentra with original diesel engine. maybe you can scope one up and see. it'll probably be easier to just buy this than convert one.

    very rare na daw po ang parts for cd17 na naka kabit sa nissan boxtype. at may b14 po ako sayang naman kung bibili pako ng boxtype.

    i am wary of conversions, because more often than not, "hilaw" ang resulta..
    may i ask, bat mo naman gustong i-diesel si b14? ang ganda-ganda ng hatak at kambiyo niyan...

    malaks sa gasulin sir. 500 per day ko back and fort sa office. nanghihinayang ako. ung diesel van ko kasi 250 lang ayus na. kaya malaki matitipid ko in the long run pag nag pa.diesel ako. lalo magaan ang kotse for 2.O liter diesel engine baka mas mura pa diesel ko per day

    Mga sir update ko lang po. Naka kukuha ako ng GA16dne from my friend since nag upgrade sya ng sr20 neovvl. So far so good 6 months ko na sya gamit satisfied ako. 8-10km city nag 14km sya provincial drive.

    Hi Sir,

    Greetings and Good Day. I had the same situation with my 1996 Nissan Sentra series 3 B14 / A/T. Actually it is no longer in running condition. Malaki na nagastos ko sa pagpapagawa. Initially ang problem is yung Idle. Nag-isolate na kami ng brother ko para ma-troubleshoot ang problem. Nagpalit na ko ng Throtlle body, Fuel filter, High Tension wire. Bagong Top overhaul na din, pero mas lalo pa sumama ang condition ng engine. Ngayon hindi ko na nagagamit.

    So I am now thinking to "Convert my Nissan Sentra Ex-Saloon B14 1995 to Diesel engine". Para mas matipid. Kasi malakas na talaga sa gasoline. Please help naman po.

    i do not know if this is late in coming,

    my 1997 sentra EX had problem once. engine would die upon decelerating from higher speed. i even became an expert on bump-starting, because of this. but dangerous...
    and it wouldn't idle in the garage for more than a minute or two. (when it was newer, the engine idled for over half an hour, because i forgot all about it.)
    i tried cleaning the maf, etc. nothing doing.
    then i brought it to a shop specializing in, among other things, nissan cars.
    the mechanic took a look, rpm'ed her, then twisted counterclockwise my air bleed adjusting screw by 1/4 turn (that huge purple screw under the air cleaner housing, to the right of the engine).
    problem solved.
    "sakal lang po."

    it also improved my km/li figures. from 8, going back to the original to 9-10.

    Good Day. Nagawa na din po namin yung i-adjust ang menor. Pati adjustment sa Distributor nagawa na din namin. Pero ayaw na talaga tumino ng engine. Honestly, pati yung Talyer na pinapagawaan namin, sumasakit na ulo ng mga mekaniko dun. Kaya nag-iisip na ko palitan ng engine yun. Sa palagay ko, wala na din magkaka-interest na bilhin itong Nissan namin. Kaya naghahanap na lang ako ng paraan para mapatakbo itong car. May sentimental value na din kasi ito sa amin, dahil mga bata pa kami. Ito na ang service car namin.

    well, nissan did offer a diesel engine option in their box sentra in the late 80s...

    kung suko na talaga kayo sa current engine niya... how's about getting a surplus gas engine? it was a popular model back then. it should be easier than hunting for that nissan diesel engine...

    "sentimental value."
    we shouldn't get too attached to the car.
    it's potentially very expensive, even as it has absolutely no commercial value to someone else.

    Sir, ganyan din problem ng B14 Super Saloon namin dati.
    Nung una kapag inadjust yung distributor medyo tumitino, hanggang sa sumagad na sa adjustment.
    Long story short, hiniram nya sa barkada niya (with the same car) yung distributor nung Sentra nila,
    ayun, confirmed na distributor ang problema. Ended up buying a surplus unit, parang 2,500 yata
    at that time. After mapalitan ayos na ulit.

    Pa check mo din sir kung maayos yung pagka-timing nung makina after ma top-overhaul, kasi
    nabanggit mo earlier mas lumala pa problema. baka sumablay ng isang "ipin" (gear) yung chain.

    Lumala ba sya nung nagpalit ng throttle body o nung pagkaoverhaul ? baka may punit ung gasket ng throttle body napinalit at may nakakapasok na hangin or mali ng set ng timing

    If you're really dead-on with an engine replacement to CD series, get a CD20 N/A for less headaches compared to a CD20T but expect it to perform similar to a CD17 with a little more grunt. Same lang ang mga turnilyuhan niyan for its engine support pero using a petrol-spec engine support set will result to vibrations during idle. And oh, get one which is already mated to a transmission because they use different flywheels and will be incompatible to your petrol engine's non-reduction type starter compared to a set which includes a diesel engine starter mated to the flywheel. Lipat mo na lang yung electronic speedometer sensor from your old tranny to the new one kasi cable type usually ang nasa CD20's pero pareho lang sila ng gear size at turnilyuhan.

    There are parts available for CD20 believe it or not. Nissan released an AD-Max with the given engine locally. Stores also import parts because of imported diesel Serenas.

    Meron palang diesel variant na B14 Sentra available elsewhere (SNB14/SB14) CD20 engine din ang gamit.

    pede atang gamitin ung ADMAX diesel mounts sa Sentra parehas ng part no.s nun mounts maliban sa rear mounts
