Did Nissan PH apply to have 2023 Z sports car approved? | Autoindustriya

We have spotted that Nissan has already applied for government agency certification for two passenger cars with a 3.0-liter gasoline engine with an exact displacement of 2997cc. One has a curb weight of 1733 kg, while the other weighs 1700 kg. In the Nissan engine family, the exact displacement points out to the VR30DDTT engine that's powering the Z sports car.

I'd love to see the X-trail e-power on our shores, but hopefully around 1.7M for the mid variant.

Here's the PR teaser from Nissan PH:

The huge SUV in the middle is probably the new Patrol which has been announced overseas. The sedan could well be the Nissan Z (maybe the Nismo variant?).

The interesting ones are the other crossovers, which many car journos are guessing to be the X-Trail e-power and the Nissan Magnite (probably to compete with the Toyota Raize and the excellent Kia Sonet).

The X-trail e-power is interesting because it will use a similar serial hybrid powertrain like the Kicks, where the ICE basically acts as a generator for the electric motor. In Europe, there are two variants: a front wheel drive with 200hp and 330Nm of torque, and a dual motor version which can do 0-100kph in a little over 7 seconds.

What I think will make the X-trail a hit are not just the powertrain, but the fact that it is a hybrid 7-seater. Well, in Europe, at least.

I'm guessing we will be getting the front-wheel drive option and the top of the line will likely be the same price, or thereabouts, as the Zenix. The base variant will hopefully be about 1.7M.

Navara, Terra production to continue: Nissan clarifies CEO’s statement on Thai plant closure | TopGear PH

it’s a consolidation, not a complete shutdown. A Nissan Philippines representative also confirmed to us that all the models we source from Thailand—the Almera and the Kicks, apart from the Navara and the Terra—will remain in production at the facility, so we will continue to get these nameplates.

Nissan PH will launch Frontier Pro PHEV and N7 BEV | Autoindustriya

The N7 has its electric motor up front that can deliver up to 272 PS, and can stretch its range from the 73 kWh battery to 635 kilometers.

the Frontier Pro unique is that it takes a best-of-both-worlds approach by combining the ladder frame robustness that Nissan knows so well, and blending it with a plug-in hybrid system that still uses a center drive shaft rather than a dual motor. The battery pack for the drive system is located under the bed, between the ladder frame rails.
