prez, up ko lang yong thread. yong pinalit mo 6750 ay 1-din, pero yong tinanggal na clarion ay 2-din...so anong nilagay mong 'spacer' dun sa extra space? o hinayaan mo na lang butas or taped it up? planning to change my HU kasi into an MP3-compatible...

bro -- nakalagay sa extra space ay isang open tray. the color is black and it matched well with the dash so it fitted in quite nicely. i put all my mp3 cds with cases there

maganda yung na post in arb. i was actually looking for something like that. but in retrospect, okay na yung open tray para more flexible. i can put other stuff also like pens, tickets, etc

question lang... na facelift na ba ung patrol simula nung na introduce sya nung 01? and ano kaya ang ok na price ng 02 patrol na dsl a/t? im interested in getting a used suv kasi... budget ko mga 1m more or less... patrol and expedition lng pinagpipilian ko kaya lang mahal na kasi ng gas kaya parang mas ok ang patrol... tnx

yes, nagkaroon na ng facelift ang patrol. newer patrols have the clear headlamps, chrome mags, new bumper with integrated fog lamps, led signal lights in the sideview mirrors, crystal rear combination lamps, and dvd entertainment system.

02 patrol diesel a/t goes as much as 1.4M depending on condition and odo reading.

i have never tried biodiesel on my GU nor have i heard of anyone used it in their GU.

thanks you very much, ayaw ko rin yatang mauna the warranty might be voided. So far i've never a GU owner use a BD in forums/group sites visited.

Sirs prez/arb/ungas/odell...thanks sa mga reply on the din 'spacer'. C3 Audio where i had my 8650 installed has a nice-looking din spacer that actually match the dash as well. Now, my audio setup sounds better(even without amp & sub) and i can use all my MP3s now.

Ano ba ang earliest models ng GU and magkano ang going rate nowadays?

Besides styling, ano pa ang difference ng early model sa latest local GU?

How are Patrols reliability wise? Kamusta ang cost of ownership?

lumabas dito sa atin ang GU patrol late 2000. i bought mine 3rd quarter of 2001. going rate 2000-01 4x2 model is from 1M to 1.2M, depending on odo reading, overall condition of the car, AT or MT.

cosmetics lang ang difference ng earliest and latest models.

[EDIT] all 2005 models are in 4x4 na and forward facing 3rd row seats na pala.

reliability wise, 130K kms na odo ko, now palang nasira mga linkages sa ilalim, pero hindi naman yata sira talaga, lumuwag lang yung mga goma/bushings. nagkaroon ako ng problema sa hard starting dati, pero ang culprit was misaligned fuel filter, naipit yung o-ring kaya may hangin na pumapasok. nasira yung MAF sensor ko, pero dahil nagkabit ako ng Finer Filter. yun lang mga naging problem ko sa patrol ko after almost 5 yrs of owning it.

cost of ownership? since hindi recommended ang synthetic oil, mas mura ang PMS dahil puro mineral oil ang gamit.

'01 models can go for 1M flat but i cannot comment on the condition since i never checked those out yet.

I think once main concern would be on the fuel system, on whether the old owner maintained it properly and used good fuel or not. I drove around a 2003 a/t model with 80K on the odo before and it performed well... didnt feel any problems with it.

Another owner reported alternator trouble with his and they had the CASA fix it (not under warranty anymore), the damage was at 40K. This was the only time i heard of such a problem though with Patrol owners.

On a side note, I was able to score a 2005 4x4 m/t unit from Nissan with 300kms on the odo only (wala pang plate) for Php1.75M a few weeks ago (still smelled spanking new and all the plastics were still there). The owner who bought it could not fulfill the full down payment so the CASA pulled it back under an agreement. Wala akong ganyang pera so a relative of mine bought it when i showed it to them. The clutch had a problem that surfaced (it would stick when it gets hot after drivng for some time) so the clutch master was immediately replaced (or overhauled) under warranty.

i had an MAF problem with mine once. i had a hard time breaking the 120kph speed at the nlex

but after a check with nissan and cleaning it, problem solved

since then, no significant problems anymore and at the same age, the troll has way way much less rattles than my 4 year old paj gen 2

That's a common item with some Nissan engines. All that needs to be done is to clean the MAF sensor with some electric contact cleaner from time to time (usually every 10,000kms or so).

wala naman new.. hid lang pati tv.. tuner.. ps2.. un sounds tatanggalin ko na kasi hidne magamit un space sa likod.. medyo nasesermonan tayo.. hehehehe
